I know it's just a story, but it change my views on Weevil.

I don't like them. They're both too immature.
They always scheme to get the Egyptian God Cards from Yugi without battling fairly. They even go so far as to get the Seal of Orichalcos Cards, gambling their souls in the process. Rex and Weevil are examples of no-good, greedy kids who brag about their so-called skills, which don't even exist in the first place.

I HATE Rex and Weevil but I will say this, they are the best couple. Those two belong together and that is why I claimed that in the couple thread. So there you go, I can't stand the little twerps.

Jesus Christ I hate threads like this, simply on the basis that they attract all the horrible, nasty comments that really don't make any sense at all.
Weevil was the former Champion of Japan, with Rex as the runner up. Weevil went toe-to-toe with Yugi, the King of Games, on two occasions, and the same with Rex but for Joey. In fact, the only reason he lost that first duel was because of sheer luck, and, if I might add, Yugi's help. Yugi gave him Time Wizard, and Yugi told his prior to that how to use it. So how people can say they have 'no skill' is beyond me. Weevil totally played that duel with Yugi on top of the train, and it was only due to Weevil's own actions (Using the card to lower Breaker's attack points thus allowing it to be used with Berserker Soul.) did Yugi manage to beat him.
People constantly say Weevil and Rex are jerks. But then, so is Kaiba. (Well, in the dub. But that's what a lot of people base their opinions on.) He's probably more of a jerk in fact, threatening to JUMP OFF A BUILDING to win, generally making nasty remarks and not really caring about anyone but himself or his brother. But because we've seen his oh-so-bad past, we feel sorry for him and say how evil nasty old Gozaburo is. But we haven't see their past, so people just say 'Oh, they're jerks'. Weevil was probably bullied in school because of his appearence and love for bugs, and that affected the way he turned out.
After losing to Yugi and Joey the first time, their lives basically went into the gutter. People treated them like DIRT. Have you seen the original Japanese version of the scene where that guy gets that kid's card back? He just knocks them over right, and gets the card back. Nope. After punching them/knocking them over they proceed to actually kick and stomp on their bodies. Then Rex gets pee'd on by a dog. That, along with all the crap people gave them, the laughing, the s******ing and loss of extremely shallow fans probably drove too still very young and confused boys into doing something extreme like joining Doma or trying to steal Yugi's God Cards.
Weevil and Rex are the best and most interesting characters in the show, in my opinion, and a lot better than the supposed 'down to earth' Joeys of the world.
So yeah. I'll be cosplaying as Duelist Kingdom Weevil, in fact, at an upcoming convention in the UK. I've got the jacket, pants, bow-tie... I just need to get the material for inside the jacket, a bug net and some Harry Potter glasses with filo clay.

I don't like them... I always call Weevil Wischmob (in English something like wipemob... Can't really translate it) and Rex is also stupid. And I hate Weevil's voice in German...

I like them both. They are the source of the comic relief, not to mention they are a great couple too. ^^ Weevil, even though he schemes a lot, is actually really conniving and interesting. Rex is hilarious, I probably like him a little more.
But I agree with Oos, Roba > Rex > Weevil.

Meh, I like them as a couple but Roba is better with Rex. Weevil x Mako ftw.

Honestly I don't like Weevil. He can be very annoying, that and often confuse his name with other people in other stories (like Nevil Longbottom and Weavile). But at least 3 of his duels were very dramatic and very close.

And,...Weevil´s german voice is really nice and so much better then the US one, I mean...he can sound serious, he just sounds a bit geeky.
I like Weevil a bit more then Rex simply because I dislike Rex´ dinosaur theme...but they tie personality wise. They are funny AND intersting ( unlike SO many duelist in the KC saga... -.-), it´s a shame that they became comic reliefs later in the anime.
I think Alfonso has said it best.
I hope they´ll show up in GX..I mean..they are SO classic and loveable.

I don't really hate them. I just think that they're both annoying. As a pair, they are really funny though. They had a lot of that comic relief in them during the fourth season. If they still had some of that humor in them, then it would be funny to see them in GX.
