Some Rush Duel details have been released including the rules (in case anyone forgot) and also cards from Yuga and Rook's starter decks and their effects.

Rush Duel: https://ygorganization.com/duelingaroundatthespeedofsound/
Yuga Deck: https://ygorganization.com/imeanawizardisaninventorfromanothermother/
Rook Deck: https://ygorganization.com/lookmahitcankeepattacking/

This thread is starting to become more like a alternate TCG thread than a anime one the way things are going recently

Well the anime looks like crap from what we've seen so far so I bet hardly anyone will even follow the new anime series until the end. But I think it sucks that the rush duel cards won't get a TCG release.

I think you're vastly underestimating the new series. Sometimes simpler is better. Arc-V and 5Ds were complex but fell apart in their second halves.

The third polling archetype, the Charmers are getting a Structure Deck in June 30th 2020. The date is consistent with the previous character-based Structure Decks.

Traptrix and Crystal Beasts are the remaining top 5.

Edit(02.03.2020):
https://ygorganization.com/tcg-toon-chaos/
The new TCG-only set for June 18th will focus on Chaos and Toon monsters for Yugi and Pegasus, including a new Toon Black Luster Soldier and a new variant of The Creator, The Chaos Creator.

Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS has been confirmed to start airing on 4th April at 7:30 am. The shows opening called Nanananana by Saeki YouthK.

Also we have additional details about the Rush Duels and about our boy Blue-Eyes.

First up Field spells work the same as in normal duels. Second if you would draw 5 cards during the draw phase but you have 4 or less cards in your deck you'll lose y deck out. We need a episode where this happens.

And as for Blue-Eyes it is classified a Legend card. You can only have 1 Legend card in a deck so don't go expecting a deck to have 3 copies of Blue-Eyes.

Three themes of the Duelists of Gloom are confirmed. First we have Marik with Egyptian God Slime (no really), then Aporia with a Wisel retrain, and a Jinzo support. We don't know who it will be for.

Pack's artwork also confirms a Ra reprint.

April 2020 Master Rule will include new revisions as to how the chains will work.

Makyura and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon got erratas, and Makyura will be reprinted in the new Duelist Pack. It also confirms all duelists will get 7 new cards and 8 reprints, as opposed to 5 new cards and 6 reprints previously.

First two Fossil cards are revealed for OCG/TCG, they are Fossil Fusion and Fossil Warrior Skull King.

Looking at their numbering, there should be 4 more Fusions, which means there likely won't be a DM era representative, as the first five slots will likely go for Jim's main Deck monsters.

This also means there will likely be a VRAINS representative in this set.

Would the Jinzo cards be from that guy that duelled Zane and Syrus in GX season 4 perhaps?

Makoto Inotsume didn't use that card (I think it's an original card made for the new set) but it's probably a hint that some of his cards will be released in that set. At least we might get a Jinzo Lord reprint!

It is based on Jinzo's attack name in the animé, much like Burst Stream of Destruction is based on BEWD's attack name.

The July OCG set is called Phantom Rage, which is an allusion to Phantom Darkness, the penultimative set of GX (the one with Yubel's final form).

The April set, Rise of the Duelist, has its name based on Soul of the Duelist, which was the penultimative set for DM era (since Flaming Eternity was technically the start of GX promotion in Japan). Presumably the next sets will follow the same naming formula(5D's = Storm of Ragnarok, ZEXAL: Legacy of the Valiant, ARC-V: Raging Tempest, VRAINS: Ignition Assault).

Hmm good deductive skills there. So I'm guessing that the 1st half of the SEVENS era is going to consist of boosters based off the first six eras, and then the 2nd will be solely based Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS since it will probably be a good time to include Rush Duel cards into the main game.

I agree for the first part but not the second part. I think introducing YGO Sevens cards into the main TCG would be counterproductive to the whole Rush Duel system that's being treated as separate from the TCG.

Last VRAINS era set Eternity Code's TCG release has been delayed to early June.

That sucks but at least it seems like only a 1 month delay which isn't so bad.

Also I just watched the first YGO Sevens episode and I think the series won't be for me. There was too much comedy in an over the top way that reminded me of YGO Zexal only more tryhard. I definitely got Future Card Buddyfight vibes from some of the characters too and while Yuga seems ok I don't think I care too much about the other characters or the rule changes.

Btw can a moderator change the title of this thread now that the Vrains series has ended?

I could barely judge what i saw in the first episode because they had to rush the duel in the episode due to some circumstances that are explained in the episode so i'm gonna give this series a chance and i hope the next duel will be much better.

Marik's new cards from the Duelist Pack are revealed, minus one, and they all focus on supporting Metal Reflect Slime or Ra.

https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Deck_Modification_Pack_-_Hyperspeed_Rush_Road!!
In addition to this, all of the Rush Duel Modification Pack cards are revealed. There isn't a new Rush Duel set announced for May so far, but there likely will be next week.

Edit: https://ygorganization.com/atonewiththepsychicforcesoftheuniverse/
Jinzo support has also been revealed, and yes, these cards are for Espa Roba.

Edit 2: https://ygorganization.com/yesaknightcanbecomeadragon/
Remaining Fossil cards has been revealed. There are 4 open slots for DM era cards.

The Pack cover cards include Number C1: Numeron Chaos Gate Sunya and Appliancier Socketroll, meaning remaining Numeron Gates will be ZEXAL representatives, and VRAINS representative will be Roboppy.

Edit 3: https://ygorganization.com/choicoienjoy/
ARC-V representatives as Chojiro Tokumatsu (Flower Cardians) and Olga (Glacial Beasts), the new Flower Cardian is a card game original monster.

Right now Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS is finally out we need to change threads. First episode was OK, not really a huge fan of the opening and ending, and the student president was a bit annoying (remembers Silvio). But the duel was good enough well Blue-Eyes was featured after all. The series has begun so it can only get better right? Or maybe its just not going to be for older fans like me.

The fact that some older monsters were seen seems like it was an attempt to show older fans that old cards will be remembered but it won't be enough to keep the series running when everything else looks so bad.

The character designs themselves make up the vast majority of my complaints. If they looked halfway decent I would give the series more of a try.

Yuga lost in the second episode, thats something i didnt expect to happen so soon and thats open the door to a lot of unexpected things in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS.
