He did have a mom, just she was never shown in the dub.

Most of us Yu-Gi-Oh fans know this already

The original version of Yugioh, the one that wasn't dubbed, had Yugi's mom. Yugioh Duel Monsters, which was dubbed, doesn't have Yugi's mom. That's why you never get to see her.

And don't even ask about his dad. >_>;

She was shown in the Manga a bit, but I think they just deleted her completely from the Dubbed English version. (Stupid Funimation... or was it 4Kids that did this one?)

Well, like I just said, she was in the older Yugioh anime, which was never dubbed.

And 4Kids dubs Yugioh, not FUNimation.

Wow. I never have seen Yugi's mom before... Yugi loooks nothing like her. Tea looks like Yugi's mom though.

I'm gonna guess that it was Yugi's dad who had the hair, jus tlike his greandpa. Or maybe it's a guy thing.

Although still a minor role, she has a bigger part in the manga than in the anime. I love the scene when she beats the crap out of Yugi in Volume 5 :D

I wish we got to see what Yugi's dad looked like.

She wasn't COMPLETELY cut from the dub, she did make an appearance in the episode where the gang met Rebecca. But why 4Kids cut her out, I don't know.

We've know this for a while.She was shown in the eppy where Bandit Keith is controlled by Marlik.But dubbed out of it.

Strange that they'd just show her once, though... sort of doesn't make sense to show a character like her in one episode like its nothing. Maybe that's why she's cut out in the dub.

I remember seeing Yugi's mom in the first episode before they meet Rebeca. I remember hearing something about her from a magazine once that was about Battle City. Too bad that I don't remember it at all.

Actually, it was the same episode they meet Rebecca. She appears briefly when Yugi & Anzu meet "Grandpa" at the hospital.

Seriously, it's friggen obvious the kid has parents. :| We just rarely see them, as the same applies to other generic anime characters. Surely they have parents, whether they're around or not. How the hell else do you think they're born? --;

And considering this is an old as hell episode..I'll be closing this since everyone should already know by now.
