What up people, this is based off the video game, and show more, or less. The characters are different, but the plots more or less the same as. This fic is rated PG-13 for mild violence and swearing, as well as some sexual references in the future.

Chapter One

"Where the hell is it?" Chris said angrily riffling through his deck.

“Err, Chris calm down…..please…you’re…..scaring me...” Yura said, trying to figure out exactly what was wrong. Yura had long fine brown hair, which rested conveniently on her shoulders; she had sparkly blue eyes and a cheery hint to her voice. However it was no use, and Chris continued cursing into the next hour before actually asking for help.
"Yura have you seen my Kaiser Glider?" He asked impatiently his hazel eyes sparkling. Chris was about 6 feet, with dark skin, and a temper to match.
Lately he'd been on edge about the upcoming Deulist League tournament, and today was no different, just one day until the tourney started.

"Chris here I was showing it to Gramps, calm down." Yura said. At that Chris settled down, his fears done away with. "Whew, sorry about that, how about a duel to make it up?" He asked. Yura agreed. "Battle City right?" she asked.
Chris nodded.

They both shuffled thier decks, then cut them. "Ok, 8000 LP apiece right?" Chris asked, Yura nodded. "Good luck." They shook hands.
"When do you think, Jared, and Melanie will be here?" Yura asked, Chris shook his head staring at his hand, it wasn't the best, but it was workable.

"Ok, I will set 2 cards face down, and summon Giant Orc in attack mode." With that Yura finished her turn.

"Its my turn now." Chris thought for a minute about what he would do. "Ok, I summon Horus the Black Flame Dragon Lv.4 in attack mode." Yura looked at him for a minute, but didn't say anything. He finished up with a few face-downs then ended his turn.

The duel continued for about 5 minutes until Yura took charge, and dominated Chris by bringing out her Chaos Emperor Dragon card, which just so happened to be her deck-master.
"Yura why do I always lose to that card?" Chris asked, she didn't reply immediatly, and instead shook her head. "Maybe I'm just better than you." She said nonchalantly. She looked at the clock. "Oh ****, sorry Chris I gotta go home, or my mom's gonna kill me cya." She hurriedly left runnig toward her house, Chris on the other hand had some revamping to do.

“So girl, it’s just me and you huh?” Chris said as he nudged Alire in the elbow. her blue eyes, and long blonde hair and she was roughly the same height as him, but that didn’t make her any more intimidating to him.

“Well….erm…..Sol said he would meet us….” Phoenix answered stammering.

“Welcome Duelists!” A voice boomed from the direction of the stage and echoed for minutes after. The hall fell quite, each duelist turned to face the stage, Chris and Alire could clearly see a guy standing on the stage holding a microphone tightly in his hands. The guy was tall, taller than her, but not him at least; he had blonde hair formed into small spikes, which came off the sides of his head and he had piercing brown eyes.

“Finally,” Chris mumbled softly under his breath.

“Now I have to explain this tournament to you all!” The man continued, still shouting through the microphone in his right hand. “Firstly I am your gracious host Charles Kramer, Regional Deulist League Champion, but please call me Charley.” Alire sighed and looked up at him lovingly.

“Don’t tell me you’re falling for him?” Chris said rudely.

“Well who couldn’t love him? I mean look at him, he’s confident, strong and just look at him…ah...” Alire replied, sighing every few seconds. Chris shook his head at this.

“Next I’d like to thank you all for coming and remind you all that this tournament won’t be as easy as you think. The virtual world is set full of tricks and traps designed to make dueling that much harder,” Hesmirked, Chris felt the fear bubble up inside him, he tensed his hands and tried to keep his cool or at least not let everyone see his fear, or they would feed off of it thereby making them stronger.

“You ok?” Alire whispered softly into Chris’s ear. Phoenix nodded, April smiled and then turned back to listen inventively to the stage once more.

“You must collect eight star counters to get through to the finals. On your chaos duel disk, you’ll see eight star star-shaped holes, one for each counter you’ll need. You each start with one, before each duel you must state clearly how many counters you’ll risk on the duel, your opponent must risk the same amount, the winner gets the tokens the opponents gambled, however when you have zero tokens left. You’ll be sent back here, but there will be televisions and computer databases showing every current duel in the tournament. Also if anyone is foolish enough to challenge me you’re allowed to but if you lose you lose half your counts, also I can’t be knocked out of the tournament, however if you beta me you can go straight to the finals if you wish.” Chirs smiled at this comment and then looked at Charles with a sinister leer.
--------------
Chris had been transported to the forest area, where Insect, and Beast ypes would gain a boost, but he had no idea of what traps may be there. He wasn't walking long until he got challenged.

"Weevil, before we deul, there is something must know." Chris said, putting his duel disc into position.

“Which is?” Weevil replied rudely.

"Why the hell are you walways stalking me?" He was kind of annoyed.

“You don’t need to know, but I’ll start if you’re just going to talk all day,” Weevil answered coldly his face expressionless. He then placed one card on centre slot of his duel disk, a bright spherical light appeared directly in front of him. After a few moments of hovering next to him it quickly took shape, it was on eight legs each one planted firmly on the ground a few steps in front of Anthony, each one dark brown in colour with sharp furious nails and bits of black hair sprouting from the rough yet hairy skin. It had menacing red eyes, sharp flesh tearing teeth and a lonely grey horn coming out of the scraps of hair on the top of its head.

"Black Widow(1500/100) in attack position, and set 1 face-down to end my turn." He said with the sun reflecting off his oversized glasses. It was his turn now.

“Now let’s start off small, I summon my Horus The Black Flame Dragon Lv.4 in attack mode. (1600/1200) ” Chris said as he looked at this oh so real looking hologram. "I will attack your Black Widow!" Chris yelled.
The dragon/bird launched razor sharp feathers at the spider destroying it.

“It’s my move!” Weevil said.

"No wait!" Chris said, Weevil paused. "Horus level 4's effect allows me to send it to the graveyard in order to special sumon Horus Lv.6(2300/1500) in my End Phase."
Weevil looked annoyed."Well get on with it then!" he yelled.

Chris looked around his surroundings of sand and sun light, then at the nerd as Weevil drew one card from the top of his deck confidently. "Hm, I shall play Lightning Vortex!" Weevil discarded a card from his hand as a swirling vortec of lightning struck Chris's side of the field, Weevil expected to see an empty field, but was met with shock as Horus stood unharmed.

"What the hell?" He ssaid confused.

Chris laughed."Horus Lv.6 is completely unaffected by Spell/Magic cards as long as it is face-up on the field, tough break."
Weevil seemed to be very angry at this, and ended his turn.

Chris confidently drew his next card, looked it over for a minute before declaring."Weevil, this duel is mine!"
