Zapdos and Rapidash or Moltres and Jolteon?

I'm playing through Firered again, and I'm just picking up pokemon I like for this time around (not planning out a team or anything).

Now my predicament is as follows:

So far I have raised a Jolteon to level 36, and I just got finished catching Zapdos. I haven't done anything special with the Jolteon yet, except for giving him Shock Wave (just for training and stuff). I like both of them. But I don't want two electric types on my team.

I haven't caught a ponyta or a moltres yet, but I have access to both. Now, I like all of these pokemon pretty much equally. And the only reason I'm not picking Jolteon/Rapidash or Zapdos/Moltres is because I want to use one legendary bird, but not both, because that's just extra rock weakness I don't need.

So, which would make for a stronger team--with appropriate given movesets--Zapdos and Rapidash or Moltres and Jolteon?

I haven't decided on their final movesets yet, but the rest of my team is/will be:

Blastoise (though i may replace with Kabutops)
Persian (Though if I can I may replace with Tauros)
Parasect
and Primeape (Probably will replace with a Hitmon)

Again, I have not finalized this team yet, so I'm not posting movesets yet.


So one last time: Which would benefit my team more? Zapdos and Rapidash or Moltres and Jolteon?

Also please give reasons why.

Its really up to you if you want batonpassing jolteon if you want sweaping zapdos\rapidash. id ditch moltress due to x4 times weekness to rock types.
