The Legend Of Zelda: The Rising Darkness

Shouts from the southern length of the wall reached Resu’s ears. Then the horrifically terrible sound of the main gate being dragged along the floor as it opened. Resu turned and immediately made his way to see who had been granted acsess via the gate. He climbed down the wall into the crowded market place of Hyrule. On the far side he watched as a sedan chair struggled to manoeuvre it’s way through the crowds.

Eventually the sea of people began to part and the chair proceeded towards the castle, Resu pushed his way towards the castle gate, still looking for a better view of the occupant of the chair. Suddenly he caught site of the guards surrounding the chair, his breath stopped up in his lungs. They were stalfos and lizalfos, that meant that the man in the chair had to be him.
Resu immediately pushed to the front of the crowd, trying to follow the chair though the castle gate. This could not be good, there are only a few reasons that Ganondorf himself would come to the city, Resu prayed that the Gerudo sought a truce with the Hyruleans, but in his heart knew that the man desired only power and blood.

Resu slipped through the guards entrance to the castle and soon found himself in the main hall. Many guards lined the edge of the hall, there hands uneasy in the presence of the mighty creatures before them, on the far side of the hall great doors swung open revealing Queen Zelda on her mighty throne. Ganondorf immediately stepped down from his sedan chair and knelt at the foot of the throne. The Queen acknowledged him and granted him permission to stand, she began to speak but the Gerudo cut in.
“I believe this is the first time we’ve met Queen, the stories of your beauty do you no justice, you far surpass any stories I have heard.” Despite an intense dislike for Ganondorf Resu could not help agree with the Gerudo. Zelda was incredibly stunning, blonde hair enveloped a perfect figure and perfect white skin. She was tall and radiated power and compassion.
“I hope for your countries sake you pledge your allegiance to me and spare your people the hardship of a hopeless war. Despite the strength of this statement no one in the room was stunned. But one young guard did look uneasy; he fingered his sword and looked over the distance between him and the chair. Resu’ mind processed what he knew was about to happen; the man began to unsheathe his sword. He stepped towards Ganondorf and leapt at the Gerudo, sword out. A lizalfos immediately leapt at the attacker with speed far greater than could be imagined, but halfway through the air he stopped, Resu stood smiling as his sword pierced the armour of the beast. Suddenly a great rush of air swirled towards the centre of the room as the creatures vanished along with their master.

The young guard clattered to the floor, as he landed a booming voice filled the room.

"If this is how you desire it so be it, I declare war on the western lands of both Hyrule and Termina.”

*********

Resu surveyed the worried faces in the market place as they turned from the notice board, they had each observed the poster carrying a gaunt and deadly message.

"Grahm-thol." Haur muttered as he got off the horse. The strange and morbid language of the eldest Stalfoses was popular for one thing; its curses. A long line of these was uttered between his skeleton teeth. The helmet on his head weighed down, but he was no mere animation. He was a full Stalfos. The complete opposite of what was in front of him.

Three skinny Stalfoses stood before him. None bore the Feather and only one had the Stone. "Well, good morning, corpses." he greeted them, the sarcasm dripping of each word. "Are you prepared to die?" They all nodded. "Piles of junk!" Haur screamed at them. "You are already dead! When you die this time, you will feel nothing! The sword is the last thing you ever will feel. And you three recruits have to remember one thing. It's a big chance that that sword can be MINE if you don't obey me! You heard that?" The three nodded again, a bit more rushed and forced this time. "Good." he snarled at them. "Now, get ready to march! We've got Hylian blood to spill on the grass of Hyrule. Get them bones moving!"

He looked at them as they hurried to get their last things. He were to be the only Stalfos with the Two Feathers that had to survive with this puny piles of old bones. Finally, the three were ready. Their swordes were hanging with their still almost unused shield. Their plain grey helmets shone without any trace of blood. It was almost something Haur could spit at, had he still been a human. But their minds and weapons would all be coated in blood soon enough. They were going to be transferred to the main front. There, the enemy was ready to be cut down. He could feel the cold smile broading over his face. The recruits misunderstood this and became eased. "Move!" he shouted at them. "Follow me!" He jumped in the saddle of his horse and began riding slowly away. The three soldiers followed him. This was gonne be like the eternal fires of The Everlasting Pain...for the Hylians.

A Prolouge to Jaden Yuki:

Jaden had been taking care of the farm all day while his brother Zane was odd exploring the forest. It made no sense that Jaden was helping his parents wile his 16 year old brother was off looking for the Kokiri with a girl they only knew as Huntress. "Jaden! Jaden!" Yelled a deep voice from the farms edge. "Me and Huntress found Kokiri Village!" It was definately Zane. Jaden had been prepared to yell at his brother for leaving him here but with those words his anger just melted away. "Come on Li'l bro lets go." Zane said grabbing Jaden's wrist and just before they could go they heard it, thump, thump, thump, thump it was a man in blood stained armour on a huge Warthog charging to them from a distance. "Jaden" His father said keeping calm. "Go to the stable and stay there"

Jaden watched silently from the stable as the fat Moblin warrior stopped his mount. "You farm folk I am here for Lord Gan*a cow moo's making it so jaden can't here it* Orf" Grumbled the weary creature. "We will pay no such tax we know he is not the king of hyrule and will pay him nothing" His father said his voice laced with an anger so ancient and malicous that even a Stalfos would be back down but the idiotic Moblin doesn't notice it. "Fine then" The moblin pulled out a whip with a bendy metal bladed whip "Pay with your son's life." Said the pig like monster as he flicked the whip at Zane. Both his parents stopped the whip and using their cover he leaped at the Warthog and bit its tail, hard causing the creature to rear up dropping its rider into the mud as it charged off. Jaden felt something he hadn't before, the need for venegence and bloodlust and grabbed his dad's bow and arrow and hopped on a horse he knew named Edge. He saw the Moblin raise the whip and snap it at his fleeing brother hitting him in the back causing a gushing wound and leaving a blood trail an infant could follow. Jaden pulled the string back on the bow and as the arrow shot out a single tear fell infront of it from Jaden's face obliterating it and lodging the arrow in the creatures back causing it slip, but it wasn't fatal. Jaden pulled the horse reigns to follow his brother and as he charge he ran over the mans back sending the arrow through his heart and at the same time it broke and went into the lung.

Jaden followed the blood trail until he reached the Lost Woods where the red ground made the trail dissappear, and followed the trail back home where he lived in seclusion.

Shinigami...
Word had spread; it seemed both the eastern and western worlds were at war. The people of both Hyrule and Termina were worried for their lives and their loved ones, but Kali, a young Zorian explorer, could not care less of the current situation, as long as she stayed clear of the war for the time being, she would be safe from harm…but then, what of her race back at Termina Great Bay, she did not wish them harm; should she fight and protect the land of Termina.

She decided that she would wait; wait for the right time to decide whether to join the army to protect her race back at home. For now though, she would listen for any more news on the progress of this so called war. It seemed Ganandorf; a rider from Gerudo lands was behind it all. She scoffed ‘nothing more than a greedy Bokoblin.’ People who declared war, simply wished for the whole world to fall at their feet, and this would never happen, there was always some stronger force that would prevent it.

Kali roamed the streets of the famous Clocktown, picking up on the latest news of the war, she had heard that there was an army to rebel against the king of Gerudo’s and a soldier at the Hyrule castle had foolishly tried to stand up to him. Kali rummaged through one of the stalls and picked up some of the herbs she had lost during her trek across the land.

The young stall keep smiled warmly at the young female Zora and announced happily “Father said to give you discount on whatever you purchase, milady. So that will be five rupees.”

Kali returned the warm smile and thanked him gratefully. Being so well known across the land had its advantages, and though many rarely saw her, she was the most known person in the land and was surly granted a spot in the history of Termina, and perhaps even Hyrule as the ‘Lone Strider’.

She handed over the sapphire rupee and pocketed the herbs she had purchased at the stall. She left after bidding the young lad a farewell and made for the exit towards the fields. She might as well visit her friends one last time before she made her way to the land of Hyrule for more information on this war that was taking place across the many lands.

OOC: RPG Revival! ( tell me if this is illegal )

IC: Haur muttered another round of curses as he waited for the three recruits to get themselves up the last rocky hill before they left Gerudo Valley. The skeleton horse at Haur's left side clacked with her hooves impatiently.

"Anope-noteleks," Haur soothed the mount, "take it easy. When these pieces of rotten bones," the last was shouted down the hill to the three recruits. "we can ride onto the fields of Hyrule, stamping down the rakrah grass and cut through the lines of Hyrulean weaklings. Just be patient..."

Finally a skeleton hand gripped the last part of the hill and the rest of the Stalfos was dragged up. "Took your mahrad time, did we?" Haur spat down at the recruit. "How far behind are the others?" "Right behind me," the nervous recruit replied. True enough, 2 seconds later the two others were pulling themselves up. "Bah." Haur spat. "What took you so long? We will never reach the Hylian plains before tomorrow with this pace. Now, get your feet moving." He mounted the horse and started to move down to the outer border of Gerudo Valley, the recruits running behind him.
