Memories in the Rain
A-HEM! Before I start, know that I am still paitently waiting for Sapphire and masterwannabe to post their SUs, so meanwhile the others can get accquainted, form teams or whatever.

Somewhere long ago, before the dawn of time, the God Rayquaza wanted to choose a few select Pokémon which would repsent time. But with the vast selection of them, it was proving difficult. So Rayquana held a meeting with the other legendaries to discuss on a solution. After many hours of intense discussion, all the legendaries decided to hold a race that would stretch around the contients of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Rukario (Otherwise known as Kanto, Jotho, Hoenn and Orre). It was also decieded as well that the first twelve Pokémon who finished the race who be the ones who repsesented time. Many obstacles were set, and the trios went about, proclaiming the news.

Soon all the Pokémon knew about it, but only twenty spots were available. It became an internal agreement that the first twenty who arrived at the starting line would be the ones who participated in this competion. The race would stretch around the regions of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Rukario. Along the way, many obstacles and dangers await our twenty competiors.

So who would the winner be?

+ Zodiac: The Race For Time +

The sky was still inky-black, dotted with millions of stars that twinkled like glittering diamonds. The full moon hung like a sliver orb in the midnight sky; like a mother watching her many childern, with the river below glittering like the midnight sky above. The wind whispered through the trees, with the leaves rustling ever so gently, and the grass swayed softly in the breeze. There, lying on the green grass, was a dozing Mightyena, with its fur the blackest black, and its skin the palest grey; its claws shine brightly under the moonlight, like the finest polished ivory like the charm it wore around its neck-a sliver one, with a crafted sliver 'L' hanging from it. Just then, the pokemon snorted through its pale pink nose, flipping to the other side. A visible scar was seen on his right eye, slashing vertically downwards from the top.

Then Dawn broke. The moon set, making her way for the glourious sun. It rose, the first rays of sunlight breaking through. The Mightyena then stirred from its sleep, slowing opening its crimson red eyes. The night was over; the sun had arisen, and soon the Race would begin.

-=>o<=-

The sunlight woke me up, cutting through my closed eyelids. I groaned, slowly getting up from my sleep. Today was the day; the ultimate Race for Time was about to start soon.

The race... I wondered to myself. Trotting to the nearby river, I plunged into the cool water, the wetness washing away my tiredness. After swimming in the water for awhile, I got out, shaking my wet body vigorously. Droplets of water flew away from my wet body, glistening like sparking jewels under the rays of the warm sun. I then turned and looked ahead of me. Right in front of me lay the town of Pallet; the place where the great race would soon begin.

Why am I doing this? I asked myself once more.

I was exiled from my family.

My pack.

My race.

I was nothing but an outcast.

A lone wolf.

Was I doing this because I wanted to be accepcted again? To be one with the others once again? To feel the thrill as I hunt with the others? I didn't know, but what I knew was that I wanted to join this race; a great thirst rose from within me that day:

"All the ones that walk this earth; the Lord Rayquaza, along with the Council of Legends, have decided to hold a great race for twenty contestants, but only the first twelve who finish it will be chosen as the ones who will represent Time for all eternity! The race will start in the Town of Pallet, located in the Region of the Pure Feline, Mew, at the Hour Of Rayquaza.

That was the speech given by the Bird of Flames, Moltres. I smiled to myself as I reached the quaint little town of Pallet; perhaps this was a chance to prove myself after all. Looking at the clock, I saw that it was only the Hour Of Kyogre; the Hour Of Rayquaza was still some time away. Yawning, I lay down on the cool grass, and took a short doze.

OOC: Okay, so now every one post your entrance into Pallet, and get accquainted or whatever. I will put up a discussion thread shortly.

Last night, a ball of gray and orange fluff streaked past the forests. Mari had stopped to rest then, knowing she had to be close. With morning would come the time to finish her way to the town. She would be there soon now.

With the crack of dawn over the pale sky, Mari had set off for her final leg of the journey to the race. The cool wind knocked back the tails on her collar, the crisp grass wetting her feet as it cruched beneath.

Mari leaped out of the forest now to see legendary Pokémon here and there. Moltres was giving a speech about when it was to start. The hour of Rayquaza, today. Lucky she go there soon enough.

A quick look around revealed... pretty much no one was there. Her and a Mightyena, the others ariving soon. Of course, there were also the legends, but we knew they would be there already. Maybe a rest would be in order?

Before I go to sleep... Mari thought as she strode into the town, I should need to see if anything else is hiding around... She sat down, keeping her head held up high enough to see. She was alert still, even though she hadn't had some real sleep in a long time.

Mari lay there, relaxing but not resting, and thinking about the possibilities of winning... winning Time. Quite a prize. And, more or less likely, quite a race to get it...

OOC: KB, isn't it Rayquaza? You know, with no "n"?

Heading Towards Pallet Town

Palagon huffed and wheezed, as he limped towards the starting line.

Why the heck did I want to do this? He thought to himself, and saw the starting line coming up, he noticed a few gasps, hadin't they'd ever seen a Porygon before?

OOC: It's Rayquaza. And Celebi has only one i. Rukario is Lucario's japanese name.

Zel stood up, his wings ruffling in the mountain wind. Was he ready for this? I mean, a race for time? Led by a huge green dragon? Across four continents?

But something didn't sit right with Zel. The creature who had told him...had been a black dragon. Wasn't there only one Rayquaza? And wasn't that one green? And why was he even in the race? He was a freak. A mutation. A blemish on his kind. What purpose did he have even contending? he sighed. If he and Ro were still together, he wouldn't be asking such stupid questions. He was doing exactly what Ro told him not to, ask a question, get a answer, then question the answer.

He spread his wings, and flew down the mountain, letting himself build up speed before pulling up at the last minute. He kept flying, till he saw the starting line.

Pallet, a blank slate for trainers and Pokemon alike, a place to go when you're young in order to be able to become something greater. To write your story. What would his story be? Would he win? And what did it matter? Lord of Time. Great, but for some reason, Zel couldn't help but feel that it would be differant, if Ro was still with him. Well, maybe he'd bump into her. I mean, he's crossing four continents, right?

Meanwhile...

She put her two deliucate hands together, as a long blue sword extended from them. She threw it forwards, and everything in her way was cut in two. She was ready. She let out a deep sigh, and corrected her ribbon. She opened a portal in time, and steeped forward. It was weird, she hadn't done anything big since she and Zel had been parted. She smiled. Maybe it was a sign.

Zel landed, and looked around. A Porygon, a Mightyena and an Arcanine. Peh, pathetic. He could seal their fate like a flaming angel if he wanted. But then the legendaries were too nearby, and he didn't know if lessening the competition was allowed. He backed up, starin at the sky absent mindedly, and bumped into something that had just steeped out of a portal.

"Hey, sorry about..." Zel's jaw dropped. It couln't be, could it?

"No problem, I should've looked where I was...Zel?"

"Ro?"

OOC: CLIFFY!

Quickster stood outside of Pallet Town, her fur dirty and her feather out of place. Last night was not a good night for her, for she was almost a stray Meowth’s dinner and she had to stay awake to make sure she wasn’t attacked. But, despite her muddled appearance, her ruby eyes shown.

This is it… She thought. She was very nervous, and fussed with her feather. Suppose she didn’t have what it takes? Would she be trampled by the other Pokémon at the start of the race? Would she be disqualified because she was small?

She shook her head and smoothed down her violet fur. What am I thinking? I’m sure I can win this race! And with that final thought, she walked into Pallet Town, trying not to look like a undersized Rattata. She tried to look like someone special, like one of the best Rattata around.

After wandering the town aimlessly for a while, Quickster finally spotted the racers. A Mightyena, an Arcanine, a strange Porygon, a winged Blaziken, and a Gardevoir were there, and she felt tiny compared to them. Trying not to draw too much attention, she jumped on top of a stump and curled up for a much needed rest. If she was going to win, she was going to need as much rest as she can get…

Ringpelt twitched his ears. It was time.

For years did the Eevee try to achive evolution, but time and time again it would often fail. His mother had only said these mysterious words: "To go against a harsh and trumatic trial is how the Umbreon came to be."

And this race had to be it. The way to evolve...

He trotted down the forest path to Pallet, the beginning of the race. Not wanting to expend his energy, Ringpelt had been walking for most of his walk. Taking a deep breath, the Eevee smelled the delicious scent of a Pecha berry that lied on the ground quite innocently. His stomach growled, and Ringpelt finally noticed how hungry he was. He hadn't eaten in two days at least. And that Pecha smelled appatizing to him.

He trotted up towards the berry.

Cailyn jittered happily to herself. Her purple portion of her body was gleaming with dirt stains from the trees she flew through to get her. The illumese was sick of the sexist comments against her and was going to prove to all that, women are superior.

She knew that the race would be held in the town of pallet but had no idea of where it was. She zoomed left and right, constantly twitching her head around to see where she was. A body of water was beneath her so she couldn’t stop to scout, she had to keep going.

Cailyn saw a group of different pokemon, some she hadn’t seen before. She knew that they were in the race for time as most of them looked fit for a race. Her lord rayquazza was nowhere to be found but she decided that this must be the town of pallet, so she fluttered elegantly down, acting like she knew where she was.

Her small arms were on her tiny hips, as her antennas twitched. She looked over at a Mighteyena and a peculiar pokemon she hadn’t seen before. Cailyn thought to herself, “I must be faster then these pokemon. I’m gonna win!”

OCC- *The race starts when all are ready but who will be controlling the obstacles, because it would be kind of unfair if you were.(Food for thought)*

Sacha the Anorith had finally arrived in Pallet town. He looked around at all the competition.

"So these are the ones I will have to beat..." he thought to himself. This was his chance, he needed to win, he was going to return to his clan a hero...or die.

He then sat down, patiently waiting for something to happen. In his mind he thought back to the good days. It was a sunny day, and he was showing his sister how to fight.

"Put more weight behind your fist, Hikka... you'll never attract a husband if your punch is that weak!" Sacha was saying to his sister as they sparred in a clearing near the Notruwa creek. He immediatly pulled back his right metallic fist and made contact with Hikka's gut, soon she was on the ground.

"That's enough training for today, Makaka probably collected a lot of Leichi berries for lunch today...Hikka, what's wrong?" He was looking at a small Armaldo who was still on the ground, looking up at him with sad eyes.

"Brother...I...why can't fight like you! Your always so strong, but I can hardly lay a scratch on you!" tears started to flow form the young Armaldo's eyes. "Is there something wrong with me?"

"Hikka... all you need to do is train more..." Then Sacha gave one of his rare smiles, "Plus, your the sister of Sacha, the South Marsh Clan leader... strength is in your blood!" She smiled and he helped her up off the swampy ground, and they walked towards the township.

That day he was accused of murder...that day he was exiled...that day...was the last nice memory he had of Hikka.

Life sucks, man.
Even as the sun shone bright on the town called Pallet, a mysterious aura of hatred was entering its vicinity from the south. Too many Pokémon had crossed paths with this aura of hatred before, but few had lived after confronting it, and even fewer had ever defeated it in battle. Many of the aura's own kind had been struck to death by its mighty blows, powerless against its wrath and hatred, its evil, pure white eyes were the last things they ever saw before their souls were swept away into Celebi's void, locked with all the other dead Pokémon foolish enough to try and exceed their physical and mental limits. But this was not simply a formless, powerful aura; it surrounded one specific Pokémon.

That Pokémon was Slash the Scyther, whose past abuses from Scyther that were offended by its deep green color had made him hate all of his kind and put up an emotional barrier between him and all other Pokémon, even causing him to go into violent rages around anyone he found even the least bit bothersome. His only desire now was to win the race and, with the power of Time, smite down all the Scyther who ever mocked him before they would become old enough to even comprehend their existance. Then maybe his past would be rectified and his might and power would become absolute. And now he was entering Pallet Town, alone, with no one to befriend.

But maybe, just maybe, some other Pokémon in this race could somehow find a way to befriend him…

Quite the shock to the system for the poor...gargoyle would describe him best in his form. 'Angel' was far from his appearance, and 'daemon' a little harsh. Heck 'gargoyle' is kinda rough as well. The mutation had made him resemble noting in nature. He was too daemonic to be called an angel, and too angelic to be called a daemon. Some could say that God had turned his back on Zel.

But he didn't. And God hadn't.

There are many things in life you can't understand. How a Wailord can mate with a Skitty, and leave the thing with most bones unbroken. How a Flygon remains unable to mate with those it most closely resembles, as the dragon group defies it. And how on earth a Pikachu can gain power enough to rival the very legendaries.

Zel and Ro were another. Zel, a mutant with no family left. His mother, probably dead. His father, they never knew each other. All his siblings have trainers and have probably forgotten him. Frankly, he's been alone most of his life.

Stripped from his family at a young age and given to a useless trainer. An arrogant, useless trainer. Zel always took the blame. Even if the boy ordered stupid attacks like Blaze Beak and Flame Punch, Zel always got the blame.

Ro, unlucky to be the boy's other capture, was even worse off. She knew no offensive attacks, yet he constantly told her nothing but offensive attacks. They eventually got free, after the boy was arrested under abuse laws.

That was all Zel had for what humans call a childhood.

Ro, well she was taken from her family under slightly crueller ideals. Captured with dishonourable means by the boy, she could have had a family to return to. But when she returned after their escape, they were gone. What happened to them she didn't know.

All Zel and Ro had after that was each other. Then Zel was taken, and escaped. They hadn't seen each other again.

Till right now.

"Wow, you've...um..changed, nice ribbon," Zel said, slightly in shock to see his old friend after so long.

"Looks like you've changed more, I thought Blaziken's didn't grow wings?" Ro was used to shock after all she'd been though.

"You and me both. Hey, are you wearing contacts, you're eyes are blue?"

"Nope, natural, but it's weird. What's with the bandanna?"

"I was about to say the same thing abut your ribbon,"

"Some Flygon gave it to me, it was weird, he was Shiny, and looked hardly older than us, but his voice was so...ancient, like Rayquaza's"

"Yeah, I just found mine, next to this weird rainbow feather,"

"Aren't Ho-oh's feathers the colour of the rainbow?"

"Yeah, but this one almost looked gold. And anyway, it disappeared when I evolved,"

"Same thing happened with this black scale that Flygon gave me,"

"Wait, isn't there a legend about that, the Flygon with the blue scales and black emerald?"

"And the Phoenix of the goldne rainbow?" Neither couldn't help but feel that if this got any more cooincidental, they'd swear it was all planned out.

"Well anyway, what're you doing in Pallet?"

"Entering some race, you?"

"Same..."

"Well this is awkward," Suddenly, Ro's eyes dilated. She turned, as the horn on her chest turned deep black.

"You sensing something Ro?"

"Yeah, but frankly, I wish I wasn't,"

"What is it?"

"Souless hatred,"

"Where from?"

"That Scyther..."

Palagon
In Pallet Town

Palagon sighed, he remembered the event that happened last night, he didin't know what to think of anymore, except winning the race. He turned his red eyes to see that more pokemon had joined them, he somehow knew that Shard was watching him somewhere,

I'm only thinking to myself... Palagon thought to himself, but an anger began to boil, he'd been bullied all of his life by Shard, and neglected by his parents. He began to feel hatred and anger in his heart, and could sense someone else was having it too. He turned to see a Scyther,

Hmm... perhaps I can talk with this guy... He thought to himself, and floated over to where the Scyther stood,

"Hello..." He began, hoping that it would answer.

Life sucks, man.
Slash's eyes glowed white for an instance as he stared down at the Porygon that was so bold and foolish as to speak to him, as though he was quite disturbed; but his eyes returned to normal as quickly as they had changed, his annoyance changing to indifference.

"I have never seen a Porygon this close before, much less one that spoke to me." He closed his eyes as he began to smirk as though he was the lord of this Porygon. "No matter, I am always meeting new Pokémon, although not all are as bold as you. Now move before I chop you in half; I need to get to the starting line and the legendaries. They are worth more of my time than you." Slash opened his eyes and hovered to the start, his wings making more of a whirring sound than the buzz that the wings of most bugs make. However, he suddenly stopped in mid-air and mumbled to himself:

"Why do I feel so little hate for that Porygon? Moreover, why do I feel more hatred in the air? Is it possible that this little misshapen freak of a Pokémon has some anger in itself as well?"

He continued on to the line and scanned the others, but for some reason, even the strange-looking Blaziken did not faze him as much as the external hatred he sensed…

OOC: Sorry, its kinda habtuial fer me to spell Rayquaza "Rayquanza" mainly due to how I pronounce it, so goes the same for Celebi ^^;

Gamma, your posts are far too short. Please lengthen it or you will be out of this RP. And I will be fair and impartial; I'm not making myself first, so don't worry. As long as you guys post good enough and prove that you can overcome the obstacles in a realistic manner, I will let you pass.

Everyone, please put in your name and species (as well as position later on) when you post.

Lucied [Mightyena]

I woke up, annoyed due to the noise. I opened my eyes, but the sudden burst of sunlight made me wince. Casually scanning the area, I noticed that quite a number of competiors had come while I was dozing. There was an Arcanine, a strange, winged Blaziken who seemed to be chatting with a Gardevoir who had a long yellow ribbion in her hair with deep blue eyes instead of red ones. Very strange. Also, there was a wierd black colored Porogon who was timdly walking up to a dark skinned Scyther whose eyes were the brightest white- a very disturbing appearence. I also saw a Ratatta sleeping near a old stump and an Eevee who was starring at a Berry. Finally, there was an Aniroth and an Illumise.

Only about half of them are here, I thought to myself as I looked at the clock- now was the Hour of Jirachi, there was still some time left. Still a bit left. Then I mentally decided to aquaint with some of the competitors- the winged Blaziken seemed to be a good pokemon to start with. Getting up,I trotted towards him (who was still with the Gardevior). As I approached towards them, I heard catches of ther converastion. Something like 'souless hatred' and 'Scyther', but my subcinciousness dismissed them. When I reached them, I put on a huge grin and introduced myself.

"Hi! Name's Lucied. I'm a Mightyena, as you can see; so err... what are your names, Mister Blaziken and Miss Gardevior?"

Seioubo // Vulpix

”見せて…
あなたの力...

せいおうぼ...!

挙げる...!!"

It was the voice again. The eerie voice kept speaking through Seioubo’s mind. Quickly, and with the look of surprise on her face, Seioubo was roused, and jolted upwards with a look of fear on her face. Every time she slumbered, that voice would ring in her head, every so often. Seioubo did not know why. Perhaps it came from the mixed emotions of anxiety for the race, which she had hastily desired to partake for in an attempt to gain recognition, and the burning passion in her spirit that gave her the desire to win.

It was light.

The soft, warm sunlight descended on Seioubo as she began to slowly trot to Pallet Town – the starting line of the race. Along the way, she passed by many different bushes, some that rustled, some that were inhabited by small insect Pokémon and the large trees that overlooked her.

"僕の声...

僕の一声..."

It was the voice again. Seioubo shook her head once again. She was beginning to have more voice than normal. Maybe it was a psychological effect from loneliness. Maybe if she hurried to Pallet she would be able to talk with someone. She was alone for most of her life, preying on small Pokémon in order to survive. Her solitude gave her the resilience to move on, despite her weak-looking body.

Seioubo made into a dash, and after a few moments, it wasn’t long before she had reached Pallet town. She scanned her surroundings carefully. She had spotted a Mightyena with the darkest tufts of fur imaginable, and a Blaziken with wings talking to a Gardevoir wearing a ribbon in her hair, as well as a mis-coloured Polygon trying to talk to a scary-looking Scyther.

Seioubo stepped into Pallet Town, accepting of her fate and destiny, and this very race would ultimately determine her survival in the world, even if she did not know it in her mind…

OOC: I'll edit this post with my new one, then. This is not in Chinese, but in Japanese. ^^;;

First one states,

second one says

"My voice...

I used boku in this statement, instead of either atashi or watashi.

Fine, I'll edit _this_ one then. This should be in discussion?

Actually, boku = romaji, but I prefer to use the kanji/proper characters... But if you want romaji, then, I'll have to see what others say.

Tiana_M

Espeon Hybrid
We had all heard the words Articuno had spoken into our minds, of the Race for Time when he had finished speaking with us, we held a gathering of the clans. At this gathering one young adult was chosen from each clan and we held our own obstacle course that same day so that we could decide who would go. I was chosen from my clan, although I did not think I was the best choice the clan chose me. They chose me for my specialness, they would not even consider choosing another faster, or brighter for I know I am not the smartest of Espeon. But, they almost unanimously agreed that it ought to be me.

There were a few grumblers, like my arch nemesis, Latrinka, who had never liked me for a reason I could not name, and of course her group of friends, who all seem to like me individually but when they are in pairs or with Latrine (as me and my friends all call her behind her back) they act as though I were a piece of sludge from a muk that was fouling their noses. In anycase I was voted to be the one to run the course.

I had hoped to be chosen to run the course but i had not wanted to be chosen for my extra power. I had wanted to be chosen for myself, but since I had been chosen I decided that maybe if I were only one of twelve that all had the same power at least maybe the other twelve, if not other people, might not look at the fact that my gem was an opal and that this made my psychic abilities all the stronger.

So I decided that I would win the race, aye for my clan but mainly for myself, not so that I would know myself the best but so that I might have a chance of being "normal" to at least 11 others, for even my friends did not really love me for me, they loved that I was well known in the clan and because of this I wondered if I would ever have any true friends.

I ran the course. There were many physical and mental obstacles we had to face. I was in second throughout our mini-race and the only reason I won was because the Espeon that had been beating me was not much of a brain he could not figure out the riddle that was our last obstacle. I made my sending of the answer private and I was allowed to cross the finish line first. I was a little amazed myself that I had made it for it had been a fairly hard riddle but in the end I had figured it out.

So I was named the representative of our clans. I then had to be teleported to Pallet town by some of the others who had been taught the ability by a previous trainer, for it was the hour of Jirachi and everyone knew that even using Agility I would be hard-pressed to get there in time. I materialized just outside the town. I saw that there weren't many people around which seemed really strange. As I went further into the small town there were more and more people, eventually I started jumping roofs and I found that in the center of the town there was an odd assembly of other wild pokemon and I assumed that these were the other contestants in the race.

The only problem was that they all seemed oblivious to the small crowd of people that had begun to form around them I just sat on the rooftop to watch and see what would happen. I was not going to risk my freedom from a trainer just to warn them, but I felt somewhat obligated to do so. I was somewhat torn between the two choices I had here, and I sat there twitching my tail as I watched anxiously the scene below me.

Quickster-Rattata

Quickster’s ears twitched as she awoke to the noise of several Pokémon chattering. She was a bit annoyed, it was one of her rare chances of sleeping in. She opened one eye slightly, taking note of the new arrivals. There was an Illumise with several dirt stains on her body, an Eevee trotting up to a Pecha berry, an Anorith, a Vulpix, and an Espeon sitting on a rooftop. There was also a Scyther that made her fur stand on end.

The Rattata stood up, stretched, then jumped off the stump. “I might as well pass the time by chatting with some of the racers.” She muttered to herself, as she glanced at the clock.

The hour of Jirachi…the race would start soon. She looked over the competitors until her eyes rested on the strange Porygon. It was the first time she has seen one in person, and she wasn’t going to let a chance to speak with one slip away.

As she scampered up to the Porygon, her fur began to bristle with excitement. She finally realized that she was going to travel through four different continents, seeing new places and Pokémon. Before, she only heard stories from her father, who was currently in Jhoto. Now, she was going to follow in his footsteps and travel the world, although she was doing it while racing. Not exactly the best method, but hey, who cares?

Quickster stopped in front of the Porygon and stared at him, surprised at his appearance. But she quickly regained her composure.

“Um, Hi.” She said, doing her best to refrain from shaking. “I’m Quickster, a Rattata from Route One. Who are you?”
