I'm looking into certain combos and began to wonder whether this one is possible.
The combo involves 2/3 Pokemon and only works in double/triple battles.
The first Pokemon:
Shuckle @ Quickclaw
Sturdy
- Protect
- Power Split
- Power Trick
- Anything*
The second Pokemon is simply a fast Pokemon who can use Trick Room.
The third pokemom is a Pokemon with high HP and def, but relatively low offensive power, such as Chansey.
Combo itself is relatively simple:
Turn 1: both use protect
Turn 2: shuckle uses Power Trick and the other Trick Room
Turn 3: switch the second Pokemon with chansey, shuckle goes first thanks to trick room and uses power Split.
The end result is a Pokemon with quite a good amount of offensive potential, combined with good stats that allow it to survive. This opens the possibility to sweep as long as it's not phased.
In battles where double Pokemon are allowed, its even possible to summon a second shuckle once the first one is killed (which should be at the end of turn 3) and have the second shuckle use Guard Split on chansey, raising her offensive and defensive capabilities to the max. Couple this with giving chansey safeguard/healing bell as well as softboiled and chansey can even more easily sweep...
Theoretically anyways... Chansey is not needed particularly, just a Pokemon with high enough HP and capability of surviving on its own.
