Help Please

I just restarted my FireRed game and I decided to cruise through the whole game using only 4 pokemon:Squirtle, Charmander, Pidgey, and Alakazam. Of course i will evolve the first three. Since the last three are traded it makes them much easier to train and also i gave all 4 of them some good moves.

Squirtle:
Surf
Bite
Ice Beam
???

Charmander:
Flamethrower
Dragon Claw
Brick Break
Aerial Ace

Pidgey:
Fly
Wing Attack
Steel Wing
Quick Attack

Alakazam:
Psychic
Recover
Shock Wave
Psybeam


Right now I am about to challenge Erika and they have all evolved once (excluding Alakazam) and Squirtle twice. I'm only using Blastoise right now since all my other three pokemon are at lv.30 and since i only have 3 badges if they gain one more lvl i wouldn't be able to control them.

So, gimme your thoughts.

Right now it is water gun but i cant think of any replacement for it. Do you think only using 4 pokemon is smart?

Personally, I think I'd give Pidgey Featherdance over one of its other moves, and I'd probably just stick with Psychic on Alakazam and go with a different move like Thunderpunch if at all possible in place of Psybeam or Shockwave.

Other than that, good luck. I see a small electric weakness in the overall group, but I don't see any real problems in-game at all. Rock could be a small problem as well, but again, in-game you shouldn't have any real difficulty.
