Don't be like that. he has Toxic, just use toxic once and then keep using Protect every 2nd turn, you'll do fine that way.

But my quesiton is, who's going to use a Persian like that?

Have any of you seen Meganium's moveset then? That is really what I call pathetic (and terribly outdated as you can see. Meganium has had some fantastic moves in LGFR and E).

Persian used to be great when it had a 100% accuracy power 140 move in RBY (which would not get affected by the opponents Barriers or Hardens, although you also could not power it up with Swords dance) and it could 1HKO Rhydon and Golem with Bubblebeam...
