Ok, I was told that this was the place to put this topic. haha.
I bought the game Minecraft. and I downloaded the Minecraft launcher and the Minecraft_Server. I had to download it at the Library since we didn't have internet at the house.

At the house I pressed login without typing in my password so that "play offline" would pop up, but it wasn't pressable but said next to it "not downloaded". At the library I played it already cause I read that if you play it once online you don't have to be online the next time you use it.
So any idea how to make it work? :(

I believe it has to be in a certain folder, something like %AppData%. Here is what mine is like. What OS are you using? (Apple/Windows/Linux)

Yeah. I heard about %appdata% to run it or something. I got a Windows XP.

Is everything in the correct folder?

And I think you can redownload from the site.

Hmm. my .minecraft folder is empty. I guess cause I have the Minecraft laugher and server on my USB still should I put them on the desktop?

Try to run Minecraft in the library if possible, or any other place with an internet connection, Minecraft.exe (the one you downloaded from minecraft.net) is just a launcher which downloads (if the game is not yet installed in the %appdata% folder) minecraft or starts the game from its .minecraft folder in %appdata%. You can't simply copy paste in the %appdata% directory since the folder and file permissions have gotten a certain setting from Windows which they get automatically when using the launcher.

    To condense my previous explanation:
Run minecraft.exe when you have an internet connection available, load the game up untill you're in a world. After that you can play without any internet connection. So don't copy paste from one computer to another one. :p
