There are two video signals pal and ntsc. Pal used in europe and ntsc is used else where. To find out what your game console is just check the manual or on the bottom of the unit.

Take off your gamboy player and thee will be a model number in the top right. This is a pal gamecube http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/charizy82/HPIM0227.jpg If you don't have (eur) at the end of the model number you don't have a pal system.
