Prima

Eternal Daydreamer

Surrender to the Sea
Oh no, another poem by moi. Anywho, here's a poem I wrote for an english assignment. This, of course, is about my rolemodel Carlotta Guidecilli (Woman in sig). I know that she's an opera diva that no one really cares about but give it a chance, please?

Prima

Cheers,
Claps,
All she hears,
No jeers,
Sneers,
Or slaps.

Singing is her life,
She couldn’t be a wife,
Since that would ruin,
Her career.

She lived off her fame,
Of her name,
Nothing could be the same.

The thrill,
Of the song,
It had lasted so long,
Now it’s a swan song.

Fame is past,
It couldn’t last,
She knew this.

Cracked voice,
Left no choice,
Dead to the world.

Fame corrupts,
Fame ruins,
Fame kills.

This is the lesson,
Of the great,
And powerful,
Prima donna.

Some say the,
Rich and famous,
Are evil,
But not I.

After all,
What is a fairytale,
Without the belle,
Of the ball?
