It's called ALT code. Turn Num lock on on your computer, then go to Google to find a chart for the different symbols.

Um.... i just wondering how do you get those hearts & other things in your sig & in your username

Simple. They all have different codes to push in. You always hold alt and press some numbers on the number pad on your key-board. Like for example~

Alt. + 3 = ♥

There you go, I hope that helped. ^^

Press Alt then press 3 and let go ♥ see

This is what I always do to post symbols:

1. Click Start.
2. Go to All Programs.
3. Go to Accessories.
4. Go to System Tools.
5. Click Character Map.
6. Click the symbol you want to post.
7. Click Select, then Copy.
8. Click Paste when you want to post the symbol.

Thar ya go. ♥
