Whats a good sweeper/tank/annoyer/whatever that is resistant to EQ and flying (like aerial ace) moves? Because right now my team would get pwned if someone sent out a Tyranitar or something with A-Ace and EQ.
Bye!

Weezing is a nice tank, imune to EQ and strong against AA. So is Skarmory.

Swampert and Donphan make a nice tyranitar counter even if they don't resist flying and ground. Reflectrock can work, too.

^ Too bad most tyranitar carry rock slide.

Sharp

Oooh, is it?
My Crobat did well against both :)

Can I please know exactly which one I should use and a good moveset/nature/Evs for it? My most likely candidate (sp?) so far is Weezing, but I would like to see a good MS/Evs/nature for it plz.

-Sludge Bomb
-Pain Split
-Will-O-Wisp
-Haze

Solrock@Leftovers
Adamant Nature
-Reflect
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Shadow Ball/Explosion

Aerodactyl@Choice Band
Adamant Nature
-Rock Slide
-Earthquake
-Double-Edge
-Aerial Ace

Donphan@Leftovers
Impish Nature
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Rest
-Roar

Swampert@Leftovers
Brave/Relaxed Nature
-Curse
-Earthquake
-Rest/Surf/Rock Slide
-Ice Beam

Only solrock and the last two are reliable.

Hmmm... alot of those aren't doable for me. How do I get both will-o-wisp and sludge bomb on one thing?

EDIT: can someone please answer my question?

What about Salamence?

Salamence @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
Max Attack EVs
Earthquake
Brick Break
Rock Slide
Dragon Dance/Aerial Ace <.<

I came up against two T-Tars and knocked both out with a one EQ each. No need to worry about Rock Slide since T-Tars are pretty slow

OK, I guess i'll do yours, Key-Ring, but does Salamence learn Dragon dance on his own? And besides tutor, is there another way I can get Rock Slide and EQ?

You'll have to capture a Male Magikarp from Lilycove, evolve it to Gyarados at Lvl 50 where it'll learn Dragon Dance.

Capture a female Bagon and place the two in the Daycare Centre in between Mauville and that other little town.

You'll get a Bagon with DD. You get Rockslide from the Battle Frontier for 48 BP in that small house below the Battle Dome.

I had to use a Lvl 100 Linoone for Earthquake though. Pickup ability. But its really slow. =/

If you cant get EQ, use Aerial Ace. If you cant get that, maybe Dragon Claw/Fireblast. I dont know any other decent replacements. Hope this helps.

RS=GG Salamence.
You have to breed it and teach it the moves.

Salamence is not a Ttar counter. Salamence can't survive a tar's rock slide.

I would use Donphan or Swampert to counter Ttar. Maybe Claydol if you need something defensive.

Tyranitar
Speed: 242 Beneficial Nature
198 Hindering Nature

Salamence
Speed: 328 Beneficial Nature
269 Hindering Nature

Good luck on getting T-Tar to even execute Rockslide first. Unless the Speed was Baton Passed from another pokemon, which i doubt any in game NPC would do. A Brick Break or Earthquake is enough to take out a Tyranitar.

Good luck switching that said salamence into said tyranitar.

Salamence was switched in

Tyranitar used Dragon Dance

End Turn

----

Begin Turn

Tyranitar used Rock Slide! (it was faster thnx to Dragon Dance)

Salamence fainted (more like died)

Get it yet? Even without the speed boost of Dragon Dance, you'll have trouble bringing in a Salamence on Tyranitar without getting hit hard by Rock Slide.

OK, I'll do that. And I do agree that probably even after 1 dragon dance, T-tar is still slower than salamence. Anyway, I do have aerial ace in one game, and dragon claw, brick break, but should I do
aerial ace
dragon dance
RS
brick break
, or substute aerial ace with dragon claw for STAB?
