what is with the guy at the one house at pacifidlog town that asks you where you come from and you choices are yes and no?

He's says this if you press no So you come from under the sea? and if you say yes he says Yes town? I've never heard of that place before

I think he's the funniest part of the games, the wierd thing is - why would you have the optiond 'yes' and 'no'.

Could this have been something that was changed during the translation into English?

I think it's just odd. I mean, he says "where were you born?" and you can only say yes or no? I really find that a little odd. And illogical in real life.
