This may be a stupid question, but will the friend bow increase the chances on Mew appearing?

no it wont, itll higher the chance that it will join you though :) don't worry youll get mew in the end i got it in my second visit through the dungeon and i only fought one monster house soo that's good, i would recommend you get a trap scarf and when you finally see mew appear newhere switch back to the friend bow
