Anyone else notice that the roars are no longer digitized? Pikachu makes a squeak like a mouse, Wailord has a nice roar going on, but I couldn't tell for Groudon if it was him or the hyper beam making the sound. I think this is a much needed improvement over the past calls.

yes i think that with battle rev and D/P they will give pokemon better, more real roars.

Just because the sample video had Pikachu yelling 'Pika!' doesn't mean they've hired voice actors to make a roar for all possibly 400+ pokemon.

He wasnt yelling pika like mention he made a squeeking sound and I did listne closely and heard the groudon raor,you can slighty here it right before and while its using hyper beam it sounds kind of like bowser with that jurassic park feel to it. also i would like to add is Wailords so8und when he fainted and while he did blizzard it was the usual roar but it just was made more realistic&it had a beasty howl to it;munchlax;

I agree a lot with the poster above me. but I really thought pikachu said something like pika. I f he said really pika, that doesn't have to mean that all pokemon will cry their name, we all know the want pikachu to be special, so maybe he was saying his name(other example surfing pikachu)

Since it is on the Wii it is capable of having the actual voices of the Pokemon.

When Pikachu was attacking Deoxys... I thought it made a "CHU" sound... and Deoxys made a Mewtwo like sound from SSBM.

Yeah, but then they'd have to translate the voices for each country, due to the fact that most Pokemon don't have the same name world wide, and that woud be time consuming to do...

But I love the new realistic roars. Much better than the digital ones. This reminds me of the Stadium games, only this seems even more natural.

And ProtoMan, I thought it said "Ka" =P

This could possibly mean the return of the Stadium/Stadium 2 cries. Now I like those. The digital ones are only good on the GBA now.

Do the Pogeys not "stand" when come out of the ball, or do they still do that?

I couldnt hear a thing,becasue I dont have broadband to look at it.
,But if the pikachu now makes a proper mouse noise,thats good imo.
It shows more reality while stil being stuck in that awesome fantasy world of pokmeon

Yeah, the roars really sound better, they have a more natural feel.

Do you think they will come from the wiimote?
