Story plot help

As you may or may not know, I have written three stroys, two of which are out, and one still in production. However, due to a virus snaking it's way into the floppy disc that holds the two written storys, I lost all the data, and I'm unable to continue writting them. However, the third one is safe, thanks to it being in my mom's computer. However, I'm having problems with the story still.

The biggest problem with the story is that I'm having troble with the plot. The story is actually a three-part triligy, all three in a Star Wars-ish envioment, minus the magical force stuff and pretty much hard-core space combat. Only problem is that I'm not sure how to set the story. I was thinking the first part of the story has the good guys, a band of humans called the ECSC (Earth Central Space Command), losing aganst the enemy, which I have yet to name, but I plan on making them humanoid bugs of sorts. The second one will be at some sort of Stand Still (both sides evenly matched), and the third having the ECSC make one final push to win the war.

I need some help with the writing, as I'm not very good with spelling and grammer. Much help will be appritiated.

I shall point you in the direction of Betas. *Points*.

It seems evident that you've not heard of them, so I'll explain. If you know someone on these forums, or if you're just plain outgoing, it is perfectly legitimate for you to ask sombody to check over any chapters of bits of your storied that you feel uncertain with, so that you have a second opinion and someone to spot the mistakes you've missed. These are usually called Betas...I think.

But yeah, any problems with grammar and stuff, I'd advise you to get one of those, someone with spare time, and someone whos willing. That someone might make themselves known through this thread, if you're lucky ^^. Good luck.
