I would like to know if there are plans for a third FireRed/LeafGreen version.;202;

until now I don't think so .but I hope they do soon ,and if they did then it would be better because it will have new pokemon,item's ,legendaries and load's of stuff maybe.
and in the forum's in the NEW FR/LG FAQ FIRST PAGE IT SAID SOMETHING ABOUT WATER BLUE AND LIGHTNING THUNDER now isn't this something if it's true.

God work on your grammer and that what I put in bold would make it a different game and please get this in your head it there was going to be a third version it would have out ages agos. P/D is what they are working one now not some silly old game.

In the FAQ said that there aren't going to be new versions of LG/FR, if they're going to, maybe they put it in the FAQ so we don't need to ask, maybe this is against the rules that you asked an answered question.
But anyways that's how I thought too:
Red, Blue and Green >>> Yellow
Gold and Silver >>> Crystal
Ruby and Sapphire >>> Emerald
FireRed and LeafGreen >>> ???
Colosseum and XD >>> ???
For others, haven't thought.

Short answer: This has been discussed to death, and there are currently NO plans to make a 3rd version. The next RPG games will be Diamond and Pearl.
