Types

What general types do you consider important, neccesary, and/or useful to have on your team?

Water
Psychic
Ground
Electric
Grass Type Killer(Such as Flying, Fire, or Ice)
Dark(Dark hybrid is usually better then 1 type)

dark/phychc
grass
mud/water
fire/fight
dragon
ground/dragon
is good

Mainly Fire and Flying types. I usally have one Water type for Surfing and such. I don't care about any other types on my team.

Same here. I put my favorite types on my team and try to get the best out of them. Usually fire, Rock and Electric types. Sometimes flying ones too.

But I like... Electric, Water, Grass and Psychic mostly.

i always make sure i have and electric, water, and either ground or someone with a really high attack that knows earthquake, a special sweeper (usually alakazam), a tank, and then some random pokemon for whatever use u may please.... i know its a weird setup but it always seems to work for me

Psychic types are must-haves on any team because they're the best special sweepers (Alakazam, Gardevoir, etc.). For physical sweepers, I think Ground types are best for that. And as for defense, there's Steel and Rock types.

I say favorites pokemon but some types to consider

- Steel
- Fire
- Water
- Psychic
- Dragon (has very little weaknesses)
- Nomral / fighting (they have the LEAST weaknesses)
- Dark

the only type I nv consider having on my team defensively is Ice but offensively I will always have them , just to take out dragon pokemon .

Reason for not including Dark type because there are no Dark type pokemon in fire red except to trade it or evolve it .
