Nintendo did this to block your ability to copy your pokemon to the other memory card, thus producing a copied pokemon.

That reminds me - why don't they let you MOVE the file to another memory card? It's pretty annoying to have only one file per memory card and not being able to move it so you can start a new one on that memory card.

If you have two Memory cards, you can just start over on the other one. >_> And if you say 'It doesn't have enough memory', then why were you trying to copy it in the first place?

Actually, it's also an Animal Crossing problem. I have 2 memory cards, one big one (a lot of memory) and one small one.

Animal Crossing is on the small one, and XD is on the big one. Animal Crossing takes up the whole small memory card, and I want to swap the two files around, but you can't move either of them.

It's mainly to do with how I've aranged my game saves on my memory cards.

What good would switching them do?

Maybe that case wasn't good enough to explain.

Well, one other time, I wanted 2 XD files and 1 colosseum files, but I only had 2 memory cards, on big one with XD and one small one with Colosseum, and I couldn't fit an XD save file on there. And since I can only have one XD file per memory card I couldn't start again on the big memory card, so I'd have to switch the XD file with the Colosseum one.

Basically what I wanted with Animal Crossing, just with Colosseum.

Note: You can only have one XD file per memory card, THAT'S why I have to move files around, but it won't let me.

i know what you mean, i hate the way they did that...but i understand...
it sucks though cause what if my memory card was lost, broke, or file deleted..

I think the flaw that Surf mentioned on his first post in this topic leaves Pokemon more vulnerable to getting erased when the Memory Card doesn't work if it's too warm due to being a 3rd party MC... I think that since pokemon on 3rd party MCs cannot be moved anyway, they're done for if it keeps on saying "There's no MC in Slot A. Save failed!", even if you put it in there properly... The moral is: Don't put Colosseum/XD files on a 3rd party MC if you don't want all your hard work deleted sometime later... I think Nintendo should get smart and allow you to move the Colosseum/XD save file to an official MC(provided that if the cards you're moving the file to doesn't have a Colosseum/XD save file already) if the file's on a 3rd party MC, then disallow moving that same file to other MCs when the deed's over and done with...

The one and only.
You can't switch because of what people have said. CLONED POKEMON. They don't want exact copies running around in the games. Plus the files will get mixed up if the games are copied.
