XD Glitch?

I don't know if anyone else has this, but the Purify Chamber in my game acts as if Normal-type Pokemon are strong against other Normal-types. Was this done on purpose so Normal-types wouldn't be useless in the Purify Chamber?
I don't need an answer urgently, I am just asking.

Oh yes, I took advantage of that. It was great to use when I needed all chambers with maxed out tempo.

I also took advantage of that. It made it easier to purify Lugia.

I'm just annoyed that my XD guidebook never says a thing about it. I wish I'd known that the first time I played XD. Now, on my second file, I have two all-normal best circles. Oh, and you can also make a best circle of Normal-Normal/Flying-Grass/Flying-Fighting.

Same here too. I just put in a bunch of Hoppips.

I don't even waste my time catching the wild Pokemon. I can always trade them over from R/S/E and then trade them to Duking.
