Backlight problems

Bossk

Like a champ.
I'm having difficulties with my Lenovo 3000 N100. There is no backlight and I can't see anything. I have to use a lamp shining on it to just barely see something.

This occurs just a few moments after turning on. Its loading and the backlight goes out. I've heard this may be the inverter (whatever that is) or something along the lines? Forgive me, I'm terrible with computers.

Its a laptop and I'm using Windows XP.
