I was wondering if i breed a whismur with wooper when the whismur has substitute would the wooper get substitute?
Reason being im trying to breed a chain to get altaria with substitute.

if it´s in the egg moves, it will learn, wooper don´t have, so no.
TMs are also egg moves (if the pokémon that hatches learns)
Move tutors attacks can´t be passed by Egg.

If it aint in the egg move list it wont learn it, so nope tough luck man, check the pokedex it has some information
