Do you thinks its right to have a pokemon mule that you use only for HM techs.? Like say for example, you teach Zigzagoon Cut, Surf, and Rock Smash, and thats all you keep him for. For some reason I feel badly about doing this.

Back I guess??
I don´t think so, they help we, Pokémon be happy when their trainer are happy with them.

Everyone is happy! :D

In my opinion it's pointless having pokemon like that. You should teach all the good tms/hms to powerful pokemon and leave zigzagoons out of your party altogether.

It's so your pokemon you use in battle don't need to have crappy moves like rock smash and flash etc. that you use them. You don't use those Zigzagoons in battle or anything.

Why feel bad over some data and some pixels on a little cart?

Haven't you ever seen Digimon? How do you know this "data" or "pixels" aren't real? XD

I actually wanted to use a zigzagoon. They seem cool to me. XD

One reason why I might end up doing this is because I don't want to give like my Nincada Cut, so when I breed it, it won't pass it on to the baby.

There's a guy called a Move Deleter, he can get rid of HM's for you.
It's a game for crying out loud.

The Real Life concept of a pack horse comes to mind...or a camel. Some animals do the work, some do the fighting...all serve their owners as needed. It's only unethical if you never feed them and never let them sleep (Oh, wait...you can't do either of those in Pokemon...I guess it is UNETHICAL, huh?! [/sarcasm])

It doesn't bother me that much. I don't give a Pokemon all HM moves but 1 or 2 at least.

As long as you love and care for them as much as your other Pokemon, then it's okay. :)

I love this game and all, but this is just a frickin game! It isnt real! Im tired of you people who treat this like real life! But dont get me wrong. This is one of my favorite games XD. As for the ethics thing, if you dont use him for anything else, why not use it for hms

Well there's a girl in Verdanturf who tells you whether your pokemon is happy or not, isn't it? As long as she tells you that pokemon is happy, that's not a problem. Also, the pokemon itself at least, is useful.

Lesse, if my conscience would harp at me for every pestiferous thing I did to my pokemon, I'd have about a dozen Oddish nicknamed "NOT AGAIN" or "OH NOEZ" yelling at me about their nicknames (Often times when I go in the Safari Zone, I absentmindedly hit "Use Safari Ball" thus my box is cluttered with Oddish), there'd be a pack horse Marill on nearly every one of my games weighing me down (Marill can learn Rock Smash, Waterfall, Strength, and Dive/Whirlpool, very useful), and then there's the three Ditto that were in the Daycare so often and breeding with so many pokemon that they're at L100 (well, maybe they wouldn't be complaining), but the point is I do a lot of things to my pokemon that might be considered morally wrong and I couldn't care less about it. If you aren't so indifferent, that's perfectly fine. The amount of morality you put in pokemon is up to you ^_^

I find that it makes it 150% more efficent to work with 2 pokemon that cover EVERY HM and level 4 for the elite four.

Makes life very, very easy.

Like when playing emerald, I use Tropius and Waimer to cover all 8 HMs.

Then by the time I hit the E4, Im overleveled.

Wow good plan. So Tropius gets Cut, Fly, Strength and Rock Smash. While Wailmer gets Surf, Flash, Waterfall and Dive?

On-topic: Ethics don't really apply to a game, otherwise the GTA series would never have been released

Sometimes I also do feel bad about just teaching them HM moves, but then I am like "I can catch another one of these... and let them keep their moves."
