Yep, Explosion's worth it, but only if a sacrifice is necessary.

Explosion is a great attack to use in double battles when the partner pokemon uses protect or is a ghost type.

As long as you dont use it at full HP. Use it when your about to die to take your opponent with you if you know your next attack cant kill him

SelfDestruct is slightly weaker than Explosion, also Mewtwo and Snorlax can only learn SelfDestruct while they can't learn Explosion >_>

Anyway..Explosion's awesome attack.I have an Explosion team which I use on a link battle against my brother which consists of
Gengar
Muk
Steelix
Shiftry
Electrode
Golem

All of which know Explosion, I usually win I've got Gengar and I knock out two pokemon with each Explosion

it depends. if your pokemon is very low in hp, and knows the move, just use it.

Explosion is great. I use it all the time, and it works wonders in the Battle Frontier. CB Explosion from Metagross = BYAAH! >=O
