[Razor Shiftry]

what do you think of the move 'Fly' now in the pokemon games? before in the other games, this attack had a base attack of 70 and was one of the most useful HM moves around but wasn't often used in the main battling pokemon teams. but now in D/P theve incrteased the attack of Fly to 90, its a pretty damn power flying type move but would you consider using it for battling purposes?

It still takes 2 turns and in competitive battling that gives your opponent a chance to switch. But on the other hand it is a sort of protect. But i do like the power increase. It does make it more useful in-game

tha makes it even better. besides, i always use fly when the poke with fly is out.

I wouldn't use it in human battles. It really gives your opponent a huge advantage. There are also stronger moves available to flying types, especially since you can use them twice in the time it takes for fly to be used. Two 80-base powered drill pecks are more effective than one 90-base powered fly.
Fly really does little to help you, other than buying you one extra turn. Because by then, your opponent will figure you out. Btu ingame, I love it. It's the most useful HM ever.

Cool, I almost always use Fly & Surf, so its nice to see Fly get some more power.

drill peck is still better, it takes 1 turn and has 100% accuracy

It still won't see competitive play...It never has. But now, at least it isn't useless ingame.

I always use it in-game, why? I don't know, just an old habit from the days of R/B/Y

I used to give fly to all my pokemon that was capable of using it, now I just stick with arieal ace and drill peck.

Cool power increase although....the only pokemon in my games that know fly are HM slaves... lol

Fly is OK. It is one of the more useful HMs. Since, with it, you can just go to any town. I don't like using it in battle to much, though.

I might use it, but not against any players, since they'll simply switch when they see it coming.

I do use Fly sometimes and it's really a useful move especially since you need to have a pokemon that has fly in your team.

Fly is only really good if you know that your gonna die, and wanna stall a bit.

I use Fly only really to get from place to place.

Fly is stronger now, but I prefer Drill Peck and/or Brave Bird due to 100% and doesn't make the opponent switch. Fly is only good in ingame, but battling other players wise, it's bad.

The people you face online.......must really suck. Especially if they didn't switch.
It's now like Hyper Beam. It's useful ingame but in the competitive environment you should only use it when your opponent has one pokemon left or else it'll be too predictable to wall.

I like to use Fly ingame. especially for its out of battle use. But sometimes I find I am lacking a flying type....or one that can use it.

I don't tend to use it in battle, its accuracy is 95 but in my experience (back in the day...) was that it would often miss. It could have just been my luck but arround the 2nd gen era I began to dislike all moves at less then 100 acc. In one game both Fly and Razor Leaf kept...
I don't hate them anymore. And fly in battle can be useful againts in game trainers.

The power increase won't make a difference to me. I'll still use Fly in-game to get me to places and in terms of battling i'll still be sticking with Drill Peck... if I ever battle with a Flying type, that is. *pokes Sneasel army*
