Glitter Text Tutorial

Okay. This will consist of 3 different sites. Here we go:

Click on this http://linuxenvy.com/bprentice/Banners/Banners.html

Then type what you want the text to say

choose the font (they have the samples at the bottom)

pick a size. it's set as 60. 60's not bad so you can keep it like that. if you want it bigger just go back and enter a bigger number

make the border size 0 to start. when you get the hang of it you can mess around

make the text color white (or keep it black; white for better results)

make the background color "transparent" in the drop down box

set the user type to regular

hit submit

it will come up;

OR

you can also go here and get the text

if you have firefox right click and copy image location. if you don't right click and click properties then copy the location

open up this link click here
paste the image location you just copied in the "url" box and click "view" my image

then at the top; second row last button click composite

keep it minimized

open up this final link click here
use it to find the glitter you want. its color coded.

when you see the one you want do this again: right click it and for firefox copy image location, for other properties then copy image location

go back to image magik

paste the glitter url you just copied in the "url" box

under Optional Composite Attributes make the "compose" to "in"

check the miscellaneous option

hit composite

go up to the first row of buttons second button called "output"

save it as a gif

it will come up with the moving glitter

then you can once again copy the location and

so there it is. it just looks long cause i made it step by step. just follow every single step and its really easy. you should have it memorized by the second time. let me know what you think and post your text if you want



NOTE: you might have to copy the location and re upload it on imageshack.us etc. if you take the direct location it might only temporary be there

I don't get it....the Image Magik or whatever it is called part! PLZ Help..Houndoom<3 or ShadowPokemonTrainer pm me on how this works...

okay well if you got the glitter location, go back to the image magik. at the top there is a row of buttons. all the way to the right in the second row it says "composite". paste the glitter location in the "url" box not the file name one. then go down to the "compose" drop down box and select "in" then go a little more down and bullet "tile across and down the image canvas.". then go back up and hit the "press to composite your image". now its sparkled but they don't move. so you need the hit the second button and the top "output" the format should already be gif so just hit output your image and it will sparkle

I have a problem. After I did this:

I received the banner but it was closed by a rectangular made from sparkles. What should I do???
