Okay im trying to get my friends team in a secret ase to abttle so i mixed records and there was no secret base on the route and wasnt a trainer with my friends pokes what happened?

Maybe you shoulda asked your friend where his secret base is located.

If you and your friend have a secret base at the same exact spot, then it doesn't work. Unless your base happens to be in the left/right side of the tree while your friend's base is in the right/left side of the tree.
