Latios question

Ok, so I was hunting down Latios in Ruby last night, and he was pretty weakened, and then I put my Gardevoir out front to use Hypnosis, and he kept running even though he was asleep. Is that common or some sort of glitch? It just seemed really odd to me....

No, it is supposed to happen like that. Even though it makes no sense. It would have been good if you bred a sableye with a ralts to get mean look on gardevoir.

I'm not trying to spam, but I have a question of a similar nature.

I had latias run from me after using mean look (crobat) and then switching to gardevoir to hypnotize... after chasing latias down 3 times, I just decided to use my master ball because I was annoyed. How does mean look work? Does it only keep the opponent in play for another turn? Or does it only work for 1 turn after the mean looker switches out?

The Lati's can run away even with a status condition.

yes, even though it is wierd, but sometimes good.
whin i was getting latios it had 1 hp (false swipe) and it was poisned. so i couldn't keep it in battle but i eventually caught it

He runs away-you have to have a Pokemon that can stop him from leaving or use the Master Ball since it's going to be hard to capture him and tracking him down.
Mean Look only works when the Pokemon that used it is there in battle-that I learned the hard way in the old games. XD

They can run with status conditions. Try using Wobbufet, that's how I caught them.

Jalapeno, Mean Look loses its effect if you switch out, unless you Baton Pass.

master balls are the easiest way

I always use my master ball on the runners. It saves me the trouble of finding them again.
