This is my first sprite comic, so beware. While I know my way around Photoshop, flashy graphics don't necessarily make the thing funnier, so you may find yourself not laughing. I apologize - it's my fault entirely, I assure you. Maybe the enthralling plot will be better than the humor. c_c

Main Characters

Glitch
Ex- gym leader of a town no one's ever heard of.
Sometimes childish but often charming,
with a certain flair for pokémon battling.

Riot
Glitch's voice of reason. Serene, resourceful,
and witty. Prefers not to battle pokémon, but
to care for and love them as companions.

Meh its pretty good but it seems in the same style of blueguy's comics and the text is too hard to read please make it bigger next time

Yeah, I see alot of Blueguy in this. I also see alot of other people in this, to blend together to create something new. I like it alot, even though this first issue wasn't very humorous. I don't really like the font, though, it's very hard to read.
In overall, this is great. You have a nice, unmessy setting, and you've clearly dusted everyone else in your level of first-comics. You just need to improve your spriting. The overworld of Riot has green, but the sprite doesn't. Plus the base of Glitch's sprite clearly stands out.
Best I've seen in a while, but there's room for improvement. Great job, nevertheless.

Due to popular demand I have now switched fonts to one that is hopefully more readable. I've also fixed Riot's minisprite, so that there's no random green pixels, and I think I've fixed Glitch's trainer sprite. Not to mention, I've cleaned up the first post, and added a new comic page. I think it's funnier than the last one. xD

lol! Very funny! Poor Glitch, being thrown rocks by little kids. A fire pokemon zoo? He isn´t very smart, is he? Anyways, it´s very funny, keep it up!

This reminds me soooo much of Blueguy's comics. Other than that, I think you are off to a very good start, and I will be watching this thread in the future.

I'm glad everyone thinks the second page is funnier. I thought it would be. :3

Maybe the reason why a few people have suggested this comic looks like Blueguy's is the speech bubbles? They're essentially the same, because they're both the speech text box from FR/LG. Should I change it? I bet people would stop comparing my comic to Blueguy's if I did. xD

It's a good start. First and foremost it is quite pretty to look at, apart from the fact that you used R/S/E styled overworld sprites with FR/LG backgrounds, and second, it has a nice bit of humor. It amused me. I think you have potential.

The sprites have been MAJORLY OVERHAULED. I mean, completely scrapped and started over on. The reason for this is as follows: I was using Ruby/Sapphire overworlds on a FireRed/LeafGreen map, and when the characters eventually reached a building, they would not have fit in the door. xD

A 2! The only reason you were not upgraded to a 3 (the highest) was because of the lack of introduction to what was going on. Although you made me laugh, and that's hard to do.

Well, I´ve never saw Clefairys as kidnappers. Now I see some Pokemon in other ways...
