I want to raise a Slaking but i dont like its nature. My question is, if I force it to stay a Vigoroth till lvl 99 then evolve it at 100, will it's stats be gimped?

P.S. I'm new here. Hiya.

Its stats should be the same (or around the same) no matter when you evolve it. So, if you evolve Vigoroth into Slaking at level 100, it'll have the same stats as it would have if you evolved it about 60 levels before. Slaking will gain all the extra stat points to match with its base/max/min/whatever stats.

X_X It's hard to explain.

Izat so? my friend has one that is pretty tough, so I figured id try it out. He thought that they had better stat gains when they were evolved. He's gonna feel dumb, haha.

Whatever level you evel it, it doesn't matter.
What happens is that it's base stats are changed when it evolves.
So when your vigoroth evolves.... all your iv/ev gains are kept in place while the base stats of vigoroth are subtracted and then the base stats of slaking are added. Since base stats are a constant and ur ivs/evs are the ones that change... no difference in ur stats at whatever level u evolve it.

Yes,it doesn't matter. The stats will still be the same.

However,Slaking is still better than Vigoroth, even its trait sucks. Vigoroth's stats aren't good enough.Slaking has very high attack.Give it a choice band and some physical moves.A STABbed return would KO anything that it's netural.A good nature for it is Adamant.

Vigoroth, I hear, has some measure of merit in UU, so that says something for him. I suggest training one of each.
