it is but at the same time it isn't
it is trading becuse the pokemon move to a diffrent cart but it does not increase your trade count for some reason

Naturally. The trading system doesn't differ at all from GC to GBA other than the graphics. Tradevo's will still evolve, evo items will still cause evolution when held, and your trade count will go up. Illegal Pokemon can't be traded down either way (hacked stats/whatever), and even saving is in place.

That is correct, but for some reason, your trade count on the GBA game does NOT go up. I've traded between colosseum and my GBA games far too many times not to know that.

Well, at least they don't go up for me.

Yeah they don't go up. Then your trade count will be way too high.
