I want to know... Is there any way to trade Hoenn Pokemon to Leaf Green without the National dex? I traded my Hoenn Pokemon to my English Fire Red, which has the National dex, and someone told me I could trade it to my leaf Green without the National dex, the Pokemon just wouldn't evolve, but when I tried, it didn't work.

Was I fasly informed? If not, how do I do this, then?

Yes i think you were falsly informed. You cannot trade or evolve pokemon from hoenne etc without the national dex.

same with the other games aswell

I think in your case it doesn't have to do with the guys but you can't meet a differnent region dude without it in the first place.
