Pokemon Sapphire:
Is there a quicker means of training than the Elite Four?
I know this game takes patience but I was just wondering...

you would have to trade for better training... one because boosted EXP... two FR and LG have super Elite Four...

Colosseums pretty good for training too...

You could try using pokemon with lower growth rates so lvl 100 comes faster... for example Milotic takes 600,000 exp to reach level 100 but Breloom takes 1,640,000... huge difference... Although you'd have to start new pokemon to be faster... If you want to read more there are links to lists of these in the thread titles "Growth Rates"... But I suggest this sort of faster training not worth it...

If you can't/don't want to do either of them just endure it...

I setup 2 secret bases from my other games where one included 6 level 100 blisseys that only knew tail whip, and another that included 6 level 100 gardevoirs that only knew memento. A level 5 chansey holding a lucky egg, from a different OT, and knows toxic can easily level up to level 40 and evolve into blissey after one round of facing blisseys. Of course preparing these bases took the most time as I used the mudslide trick which only works in ruby and sapphire to level up these blisseys (800000 exp) & gardevoirs (1250000 exp).

oh I forgot about that... although you would need alot of free time to train prior... But why didn't you use Dusclops (800,000 exp) with momento insted?

While gardevoir is also good for EV training for special attack, I am rather curious about the exp points earned after facing either a level 100 gardevoir, dusclops, weezing, or muk. Latios can also learn memento but it is unbreedable.

When facing a level 100 gardevoir:

without lucky egg and from same OT: 4445 exp points
with lucky egg or from different OT: 6685 exp points
with lucky egg and from different OT: around 10000 exp points

when facing a level 100 blissey:
without lucky egg and from same OT: around 5400 exp points
with lucky egg or from different OT: around 8100 exp points
with lucky egg and from different OT: around 12000 exp points

Sorry for the double post, but here's an update when doing a secret base comparison with a L50 dusclops & a L50 gardevoir as I used a L100 rayquaza that knows crunch along with a linoone holding an exp share, the results:

dusclops = 1437 exp points
gardevoir = 1669 exp points

The winner: gardevoir

Had dusclops had more, I'd certainly level up 6 memento dusclops. I'm probably sure latios gives more exp points but it is unbreedable and would be painstaking to gather up 6 of them.

It would be nice if there's a guide to show how many exp points each pokemon gives when defeated as maybe blissey is not #1 after all.

I hate to do my training on ruby or sapphire, I always trade my pokemon over to my colossuem for training.
