Which One...?

Once my brother gets paid, he's going to get me either Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald... But the problem is, I have no idea which one I want. I'm thinking Ruby because I know Sapphire has Ludicolo, and I really, really hate that Pokemon. XDD But I know I'll have to end up getting one eventually anyway, so...

My main concern is trading between these games and FR/LG. Can anyone tell me how far one needs to go in R/S/E before they can trade between those? I heard you have to beat Emerald before you can do that, but I don't know about the other two.


Anyway, what would you guys suggest?

Emerald is by far better than the previous two. It has Battle Frontier, Move Tutors, a couple more Berries, different ways to get Pokemon.. etc.. Im not sure about the trading criteria for R/S/E, but I know you have to fix the machine on one of the islands in FR/LG..

emerald is the best list of why
1.pokemon move in this game
2.battle frontier
3.get pokemon from johto
4.match call is able to talk to ppl from far away like a cell phone
5.the double battles r every where

and all u have to do is beat the E4 to get any pokemon from fr/lg

Emerald for the above reasons. Concerning the trading, you have to beat the elite four in emerald, but in R/S you can trade from the start.

Emerald, 'cause Ruby and Sapphire are pretty much outdated, and the only reason anyone would ever play them is if they don't own Emerald. Like me . Oh, and the above reasons, as well.

And Emerald's easier to trade with. You can't use the Wireless Adaptor for R/S, but you can for Emerald. Though you gotta beat the E4 for Emerald.

emerald... unless you want to get you pokemon to lv. 100 without any work... on ruby and sapphire you can use the ocean glitch wil having you pokemon in the pokemon daycare and get them to 100 in a fwe days (provided that you have an adapter hooked up to it...)

Actually, the Ocean Current glitch works in Emerald, too (shame on you who use it for levelling...). The landslide trick is the one that doesn't work anymore. At any rate, as everyone else has said, Emerald is by far the best one to get. Thank God for Ziggy being switched with Poochy.
