Why?

Why is it that whatever pokemon you are looking for never shows up? I go through the entire waterfall cave 3 times, and never see a single feebas, and only one magikarp, which my partner kills. And why is it that whenever you find that pokemon, it never recruits, but the pokemon you hate always wants to join? (Corphish is EVIL!)

I know what you mean every time I go to Mt. steel I can never recruit a Tyrogue until today on the last floor I walk around 5 times until I saw one and recruited it harshly!! (Geodude is EVIL!)

Also, Feebas is only in Red, iirc.

Feebas, Magikarp, Pidgeys, things like that are rare...And so aggravating to find, let alone recruit. I suggest being at level ninety or above and having the friend bow so you don't fight more than you have to.

I am playing red, and I got magikarp to appear. Also, I am lv. 53, with the friend bow, so if I somehow managed to find a magikarp or feebas, I would have a 29.2% recruiting chance. Of course, it doesn't matter how great the percentage is if you can't find the stupid pokemon in the first place!

well Im level 100 w/ friend bow and stupid magikarps and snorlaxes wont join!
Im really mad I was hoping to use snorlax on my team

Feebas and Magikarp, among others, rarely appear do to their dreadfully low level (the lowest level I had was a level 1 Pidgey >.< Feebas and Magikarp are level 5) It all depends on luck.

I've encountered a few Magikarps, but they never joined.
Snorlax & Exeggcute on the other hand.. I've never seen a live one. (Except an Exeggcute in Tiny Woods which you can't recruit ... grr).

But wouldn't you expect Feebas to be rare? I mean, where was it found on Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald again? hah.

Ah, I know how irritating and frustrating it is to not find the pokemon you're looking for.. Those pidgeys... -shakes fist- I actually encountered more Snorlaxes than pidgeys, though the snorlaxes never joined either.. :'C

Why that little... how dare anybody but myself use Wondermail! How am I supposed to cover up creating billions of Joy Seed missions if other people use Wondermail!? *Momentary madness and wierd insanity ends* *Remembers that people have been using it for ages*

Anyways I befriended Feebas on Red on my 3rd try. Still haven't tried for a Magikarp on Blue. Throughout both games though I've only seen 1 Snorlax. Seen loads of Pidgeys but most in Tiny Woods and Purity Forest.
