I knew it would be Zekrom, I mean, Reshiram, then Victini, now Zekrom..

Anyways.. it has a god-like Attack stat. It has a somewhat limited physical movepool, but he gets insanely powerful STABs to go with said Attack, so whatever!

He really is a good hit-and-runner.

Zekrom @Choice Scarf
Adamant
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Teravolt
Bolt Strike
Outrage
Volt Switch
Crunch

The idea is to obliterate a few pokes with Outrage or Bolt Strike, then Volt Switch. Keep in mind that a neutral Bolt Strike is stronger than a SE Crunch, but it's stronger against Giratina, so keep that in mind.

Countering Zekrom
Ferrothorn walks all over it. It can't do a thing to it, by resisting it's nearly unresisted stab.

Other options
Hone Claws, Dragon Claw, Fusion Bolt, Stone Edge

Hone Claws gives you a jaw-dropping Attack stat, and makes Stone Edge more accurate too.
Dragon Claw is a more reliable Dragon move than Outrage.
Fusion Bolt is a weaker Bolt Strike, without paralysis.
Stone Edge can counter Bug, Ice,Fire and Flying Arceus... I guess?

Meowmeow

Zekrom is decent, but Groudon is better, simply because of movepool differences. That doesn't make Zekrom bad (by Uber standard).

You've been... THUNDERSTRUCK!!!
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk, Spd, 4 HP
@: Choice Band/Scarf/Life Orb

Bolt Strike
Dragon Claw/Outrage
Crunch
Stone Edge

These are pretty much the main attacks Zekrom will be throwing. Simple.

Cuz I'm TNT!! I'm Dynamite!!
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk, Spd, 4 HP
@: Life Orb/Leftovers/Muscle Band

Hone Claws
Bolt Strike
Dragon Claw/Outrage
Crunch/Stone Edge

Hone Claws actually works quite well with Zekrom for increasing the non-perfect accuracy of Bolt Strike.

For Those About to Rock (WE SALUTE YOU!!)
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 HP, Spd, 4 Atk
@: Light Clay/Leftovers

Reflect
Light Screen
Dragon Claw/Bolt Strike/Thunder Wave
Dragon Claw/Bolt Strike/Thunder Wave/Haze

Dual Screens. Not as good an option as the first two, but it is possible. Haze gives it some uniqueness.

Other options
-Fusion Bolt is a more accurate Bolt Strike with less power and no paralysis potential. Not a good trade-off.
-Thunder for surprises. Bad idea
-Volt Switch could be used on the dual screen set.
-Dragon Tail is suited for someone else. Not Zekrom.
-Payback is actually not a bad replacement over Crunch. Zekrom is pretty slow, so Payback will typically throw more power than Crunch.
-Shadow Claw is another option over Crunch. Go for defense drops, not Critical Hits.
-Zen Headbutt can be used if you are afraid of Fighting types (Terrakion, Machamp, etc.). Don't go for it though. Bolt Strike is enough.

Counters

Gliscor, Groudon, Swampert, and Steelix do well. Immune to Bolt Strike, hit with a solid Earthquake, and can take all Zekrom's other attacks. Steelix also resists Dragon Claw and Outrage. Terrakion could potentially pull off an OHKO (I have with my Terrakion) after a Swords Dance of being Choice Band equipped. I don't think it is a guaranteed OHKO though. If it pulls off a Hone Claws, things will get very tricky. Best way to beat it is Ground types.

Can anyone tell me why you'd want Crunch on Zekrom? I've seen it on several sets here now, but I still can't find a single pokémon apart from Shedinja that is actually hit harder by Crunch than by Outrage. Psychics like Mewtwo take a neutral hit from Outrage (Base power 180 including STAB), and a super effective hit from Crunch (base power 160). Same story with Ghosts. If you look at pokémon that resist Outrage (steels only) they also resist Crunch or are at best hit neutrally by it if their secondary typing is weak to dark (metagross for example), so you have 90 Base power for Outrage, or 80 base power for Crunch (on those that are hit neutrally by crunch). And there are no pokémon 4x resistant to Outrage, and there are also no pokémon 4x weak to Crunch. My conclusion is that no pokémon apart from Shedinja is hit harder by Crunch than by STAB outrage. Btw, Zen Headbutt has exactly the same story, only with Shedinja replaced by Toxicroak.

If anyone can find any pokémon that is hit harder by Crunch than by STAB Outrage that is not Shedinja, or any pokémon that is hit harder by Zen Headbutt than by STAB Outrage and is not Toxicroak, I'd love to hear it.

Btw Meowmeow, Zekrom doesn't get Brick Break, TM is not compatible. When it comes to moves it gets on the physical front, Zekrom isn't really worthy of being an Uber imo. As a physically oriented uber, you should at least get Earthquake or Brick Break, and if you're a dragon you should also get Dragon Dance.

It's funny because serebii chose the last three POTW in alphabetical order.

Anyway, Zekrom is more or less the same as Reshiram, but Physical. There are no other physical electrics (except for Electivire) which makes him special. He has beast attack, which happens to be virtually unrivaled. However, Groudon beats Zekrom stat wise, so he is preferable to Zekrom, even without his own special move. Zekrom has a good ability, but it's useless because he CANT LEARN ANY GROUND TYPE MOVES. WTF GAMEFREAK.

Bulky Black Dragon
- Stone Edge / Rock Slide
- Bolt Strike
- Dragon Claw
- Zen Headbutt
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Terravolt
EVs and Nature: Adamant (+Att, -Sp. Att)
160 Hp / 200 Att / 148 Def

Bulky Zekrom. Survives most physical attacks and annihilates everything.

Double and Triple options
Being weak to Earthquake stinks. What stinks even more is not being able to use Earthquake. He knows Rock Slide, but otherwise he can't do much.

Partners
Steels wreck Zekrom, so taking them out is important. Same with Ground types.

Countering Zekrom
Steelix. Best defenses in the game second only to Shuckle, this guy wrecks Zekrom. Zekrom can't do anything. His only option against Steels is Fusion Bolt or Bolt Strike, but as a Ground type Steelix is immune. Plus, with that defense, unless Zekrom is running a special set with Focus Blast or HP, Steelix walls the great Black Dragon. Excadrill could work, too. Besides them, most other Steel types work, not Skarmory though. Groudon destroys Zekrom so badly. He has the defense and moves that Zekrom's always wanted.

All in all, Zekrom's cool, but Groudon is better in almost every way.

Zekrom, a new member of the base 150 Attack group. That means it ties attack with Groudon, Rayquaza, and Normal Forme Deoxys. Like Groudon, though, it's a tish on the slow side, packing only base 90 speed. On the onther hand though, Zekrom has admirable bulk, 100/120/100 in its defenses is quite nice for an attacking Pokemon. Its stat spread is mirrored to Reshiram, so Zekrom had higher Attack and Defense whist Reshiram has higher Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense.

Like Reshiram, Zekron has unique typing. Dragon and Electric is an unusual combination. It gives a 4X resistance to Electric Attacks as well as resistances to Fire, Water, Grass, Flying, and Steel attacks. The downsides are those weaknesses to common Ice and Dragon attacks, as well as a troubling Earthquake weakness. Still, combined with its stats, Zekrom can switch into a number of attacks fairly comfortably, making it a good Choice Item Pokemon.

Unlike Reshiram, Zekrom doesn't get as much wonderful coverage. Dragon and Electric are stopped cold by Steelix, Ferrothorn, and Magnezone/Magneton. All of these Pokemon have high Defense as well, making it harder for Zekrom to hit them with its better offensive stat.

Now for the good stuff: Bolt Strike. Its Zekrom's signature move and its most powerful attack and has a decent chance of paralysis as well. Easily the best electric attack in the game. It also gets Outrage, another powerful attack, though it has the problem of causing confusion. Dragon Claw is a weaker option for people who don't want that confusion.

Its physical movepool is pretty lacking for an Uber. Pretty much all that's left that is usable are Crunch, Stone Edge, and Zen Headbutt, and supereffective hits from those attacks are weaker than STAB Bolt Strike. It also has a serious lack of boosting moves. Hone Claws is all it has for the physical side of things, although the accuracy boost is nice for Bolt Strike.

Zekrom fares a bit better on the special side of things. Thunder in rain is obscenely powerful and awesome. Draco Meteor works well, too. It also gets Focus Blast, which, while inaccurate, hits the few Pokemon that do resist its STAB hard. It also puts a huge dent into T-Tar, who likes to switch in to get rid of rain and suck up attacks. Charge Beam is good for boosting, but it doesn't gel well with Draco Meteor, so Dragon Pulse will have to do in that case.

My Zekrom uses this set.

Timid Nature (+Speed, -Attack)
Lum Berry

Bolt Strike
Hone Claws
Outrage
Focus Blast

Not the best nature, since I don't usually play with Ubers, but it gets the job done. Use Hone Claws and then sweep. Bolt Strike and Outrage do most of the heavy lifting while Focus Blast takes care of the Pokemon that resist that combo. Lum Berry protects from status and the self-confusion from Outrage.

Zen Headbutt is rather poor on Zekrom. But Crunch is worth it for Shedinja alone, because you're getting Will-O-Wisped otherwise, which borderline shuts down Zekrom. But other than Shedinja, there aren't any others. The Lati Twins take more from Outrage, as do the Giratina Forms. Zekrom has a really shallow movepool, so it can afford a slot to stop Shedinja from walling it.

Zekrom doesn't have to worry about Wonder Guard because of Teravolt.

Is Sturdy Ability common in ubers? Mold Breaker and its glorification Turbo Blaze and Teravolt easily ignore Sturdy, and are in fact the only way to beat a Sturdy Pokémon with one hit (not counting Tail Slap or moves like that!)

Zekrom is essentially the physical Electric counterpart to Reshiram. If Kyogre itself can destroy Reshiram, then certainly Zekrom can be destroyed by Groudon itself. Only problem, all of them share a speed tier, base 90 to be exact, which is slow for ubers.

Zekrom is one of the new ubers. It have a amazing atk stat, good sp.atk, two great stab moves and nothing more. It don't have a good speed stat and the lack of phisical moves don't help.It stil is a very cool pokémon and have the cooler teravolt.

Bolt strike hits hard, outrage traps zekrom but is more powerful than dragon claw, focus blast add coverge hiting steel tipes hard. The final move is filler: volt swich is a nice escape from wobufet and dragon claw is a good perfect acuracy move.
Zekrom don't need zen headbut or stone edge (his stab moves are more powerful). Crunch is pointless because it is only used to hit shedinja and teravolt nulified wonder guard.

Charge Beam is good for boosting, but it doesn't gel well with Draco Meteor, so Dragon Pulse will have to do in that case.

Here is my set for Zekrom,

##########

Ability: Teravolt
Hold Item: Life Orb / Choice Band / Choice Scarf

Nature: Adament/Jolly
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spd

- Hone Claws
- Bolt Strike
- Outrage
- Crunch/Shadow Claw/Stone Edge

A pure physical set for Zekrom.

"Hone Claws" is the only stat boosting move Zekrom gets, but as it is a physical inclined pokemon it really benefits from it.

Also its more powerful signature move "Bolt Strike" benefits from "Hone Claws" because it increases the moves accuracy.

Outrage is really wonderful because of its power.

The last slot is the filler slot, "Crunch" has almost similar coverage that of "Shadow Claw" but the difference in those two moves is that "Shadow Claw" won't do any damage against Arceus in its basic form (and 'Meloetta' in both her forms when it is released).

Where as "Stone Edge" gives some minor coverage in the Uber Tier, but Zekrom have both STAB Electic & Dragon moves which makes it kind of useless to be used since most on the Uber pokemon who are weak to Rock moves are also weak to either Electric or Dragon type moves except a few like Shaymin (Sky Forme), Entei, Regice, Thundurus and Uber pokemons similar to them.

The only problem "Zekrom" has in this set is that it doesn't learn any good physical Fighting type moves. And thats why this set has no good counters for pokemons like Tyranitar, Dialga & Heatran.

==============================================

Ability: Teravolt
Hold Item: Life Orb / Choice Specs / Choice Scarf

Nature: Modest/Timid
EVs: 16 Atk/ 240 SAtk/ 252 Spd

- Draco Meteor/Outrage
- Thunder/Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Crunch/Shadow Claw/Stone Edge

Even though this set is more special inclined, but still this set can easily be used as a mixed set.

The main point of this set is "Focus Blast" which it can use to counter pokemons like Tyranitar, Dialga & Heatran.

===============================================================

Ability: Teravolt
Hold Item: Life Orb / Leftovers / Expert Belt

Nature: Quiet
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 SAtk

- Payback
- Fusion Bolt
- Draco Meteor/Outrage
- Focus Blast

This is also a mixed set, but this set makes Zekrom slower and hence the use of Payback.

Here Zekrom's weaker signature attack "Fusion Bolt" is used instead of "Bolt Strike" because of the loss of accuracy BS has over FB and since this set doesn't have "Hone Claws", the loss of accuracy can be troublesome.

===============================================================

Weakness: Because "Zekrom" can't learn any physical Ground, Fire or Ice moves (in special its only options is "Hidden Power"), it is a bit difficult for it to counter pokemons like Groudon & Metagross.

Other Option (for attacking):

- Dragon Claw: An physical alternate to Outrage, low on power but doesn't have the confusion side-effect.
- Dragon Tail: A weak physical attack, but can be used to mess-up the opponents strategy.
- Volt Switch: A weak special attack option, but can be used to escape from difficult situation.
- Charge Beam: A weak special attack, but it is the only move which boost Zekrom's special stat.
- Shadow Ball: A special attack option for taking down the Psychic & Ghost types.
- Ancient Power: A Rock type special attack option with low attack power but has the chance of boosting all the stats.
- Hyper Voice: A special attack option which would do normal damage to most of the Uber Tier pokemons (except for Steel & Ghost types).
- Hidden Power: The useful types for HP which Zekrom can use are - Ground, Fire, Ice.

chruch and shadow claw r useless with stab bolt strike

Overview

The Physical alternative to Reshiram, Zekrom is a pure beast when it comes to pile-driving through opponents. Like Reshiram, it has Mold Breaker as an ability, which gives it leeway to hit through Lightningrod and Motor Drive on pokemon like Electrivire, as opposed to Reshiram going through Hetran Flash Fire. Zekrom has a lot of big power moves, but not too much variety in its physical arsenal. This proves to be quite a thorn in it's side, but it's four crucial moves catch a large number of Super Effective hits in Uber Tier.

Abilities

Teravolt: A glorified Mold Breaker, which lets Zekrom hit through Lightningrod, Motor Drive, Wonder Guard and Multi-Scale. Well those are the real relevant abilities that Zekrom will be ignoring thanks to it.

Ride the Lightning
Item: Choice Scarf / Band
Ability: Teravolt
Nature and EVs: Lonely / Naughty. 128 Attack, 128 Special Attack, 252 Speed
- Bolt Strike
- Outrage / Dragon Claw
- Stone Edge
- Volt Switch

Zekrom is a dominating force when it comes to Physical Sweeping, but it's Speed unfortunately matches a lot of threats in the Uber tier. Choice Scarf presents a very valid way to get around that problem, but Choice Band could be used to just send it's Attack through the roof or with Trick Room support. Bolt Strike is Zekrom's best attack, with huge power and a nice 20% chance of Paralysis. Outrage offers huge STAB damage and can demolish most of the Uber tier in one or two hits. Dragon Claw is a weaker alternative that doesn't leave you wide open however. Stone Edge. This is where Zekrom's awful movepool begins to shine, as you get no real coverage with this move that you don't already have. Anything in Ubers that's weak to Stone Edge, is likely to be weak to Dragon attacks. This is mainly for OU tier, should Zekrom ever venture down there or should opposition from OU venture up into Ubers. Finally, Volt Switch offers a nice scouting option.

Mixed Storms
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
Nature and EVs: Lonely / Naughty. 128 Attack, 128 Special Attack, 252 Speed
- Bolt Strike / Thunder
- Outrage / Dragon Claw / Draco Meteor
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch

Bolt Strike is the strongest and abuses Zekrom's huge attack, Thunder gets perfect Accuracy in the rain and has a higher Paralysis rate. Outrage is an awesome physical attack that leaves you vulnerable, Dragon Claw offers stability, and Draco Meteor destroys everything, but lowers your Special Attack. Focus Blast stops Dialga, Heatran and Normal Arceus. Volt Switch offers scouting.

Other Options

- Fusion Bolt: Has more accuracy than Bolt Strike, but no Paralysis and less power.
- Hone Claws: An okay boost move to use with Bolt Strike and Stone Edge, but it's not that great.
- Thunder Wave: Paralysis can be nice in Uber tier, especially since in most non-choice sets, Zekrom can spare a slot due to it's shallow move pool.

Partners and Double / Triple Battles

Kyogre, Manaphy, Lugia... you want to stop Special Attacks, Earthquake and other Dragon Types. These guys pretty much cover it. Zekrom really doesn't offer much in the way of help in Double & Triple battles though, it's more of a flying solo Dragon.

Countering Zekrom

Groudon ruins Zekrom. Zekrom can't do anything about Groundon without a Hidden Power, and even then, Groundon will just obliterate it with Earthquake. Like Reshiram, revenge killing it works really well. All of the faster Dragon types work for this. Landorous also fairs pretty well against Zekrom.

u cant volt dwitch with a choice band and scarf

i spend 2 hours waiting for this to come up hopefully to be the first commenter, go for a shower and come back and im pipped by 2 minutes anyway enough about my sad life so..

Sets for...

ZEKROM! The god of THUNDER!

Zekrom
Item:choice band/life orb
EV's:252ATk,252SPE,4HP
Nature:Adamant/Jolly
Ability:Teravolt
Moves:
-Outrage
-Fusion bolt/Stone edge
-Dragon claw
-Bolt strike

Outrage is your main move here and you should be able to land decent damage on most of the uber tier but because it locks
you into it you can be easily revenge killed, use dragon claw for a softer more reliable and easy to use move. If choice
band is used then be careful not use electric moves as you can be walled by groudon and garchomp. Bolt strike is more
powerful than outrage but again you have to be careful with CB. Stone edge for coverage.

Zekrom
Item:choice scarf
EV's:252ATK,252SPE,4HP (EV's may need adjusting to accomodate SpAtk with volt change).
Nature:Adamant/Jolly
Ability:Teravolt
Moves:
-Volt switch
-Outrage
-Bolt strike
-Dragon claw

Volt switch makes CS a viable option but needs good prediction. The outrage/bolt strike combo should provide very decent
coverage indeed. Dragon claw is used so you dont have the drawback of being locked into outrage.

Mixrom
Item:Life orb/?
Ev's:126ATK,126SpAtk,252SPE,4HP
Nature:Hasty
Ability:Teravolt
Moves:
-Draco Meteor
-Bolt strike/fusion bolt
-Focus blast
-Volt switch/Dragon claw

Draco meteor is a devastating move that can do some serious damge ven though SpAtk is his secondary option. Bolt strike
is a good move in general and can deal with some major threats.Focus blast is for good coverage and the ability to land
some SE hits on some pokes.Volt switch lets you switch and deal some good damage with SpAtk investment giving you the
ability to switch in a counter to one of Z's enemies. Dragon claw incase you want a more reliable but softer draco meteor
but physical.

Partners:
Skarmory can defend against garchomp and dugtrio (both could assassinate the big Z)
Kyogre can defend agaist ground types which would give Z hassle.
Any pokemon that can set up entry hazards
Groudon can defend against Excadrill (who is resistant to Z's Dragon STAB and immune to his Electric STAB)

Counters:
Excadrill can (for reasons above) take Zekroms hits and dish out a SE STAB earthquake
Wobbufett can stop zekrom from running and OHKO him.
It should be mentioned Ferrothorn resists zekroms stabs aswell but cannot do much
Groudon is immune to one STAB but can be 2HKO by outrage but if he survives he can deal a STAB Earthquake

Opinion:
Zekrom is much cooler than Reshiram but not as good IMO. He lacks a wide movepool which many Uber pokemon have to
work with which make them so awsome. Also his weaknesses are very common moves in the Uber envrionment(Ground,
Ice and Dragon). His base 90 speed makes him slow by comparison in ubers. Zekrom is a good pokemon but limited by his
type and his movepool and also a tiny bit by his stats (But 150 ATK is not something you want to be on the end of.).
Zekrom is definitely a contender.

outrage and dragon claw together only decrase its moveppol

So, nobody has mentioned (IMO) Zekrom's best set; Substitute-Hone claws. That's the only definitive way it can actually get past Ferrothorn without being crippled and/or seeded in the process. Once it get's going with 2 boosts, good luck switching anything not named Steelix in. Jolly is a tad bit of a waste on any Zekrom set -yes, even Scarf-, so I left it as a secondary slash instead.

Zekrom @Leftovers/ Lum Berry
Nature: Adamant/ Jolly
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Speed

Bolt Strike

For mixed sets, you should always be running Draco Meteor. Some of you are making the same mistakes as the the Reshiram POTW --Zekrom does not need coverage moves (Stone Edge, Crunch, Zen Headbutt) that won't be hitting anything harder that his primary STABs can't do instead the only obvious exception is Focus Blast or HP Fire, yet even that is limited to mixed sets. Also mention that Ferrothorn isn't a 100% surefire counter to banded Zekrom and Excadrill is 2HKO'd by Outrage if it tries to switch into Zekrom with sand absent.

Substitute
Hone Claws
Dragon Claw/ Outrage
Bolt Strike

I sincerely hope you're trolling me. Because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Stone Edge gains absolutely no KOs super-effectively that Bolt Strike can't do.

Pity zekrom can't learn swords dance, or else...

Anyway-

Light screen
Dragon claw
Fusion bolt
Stone edge/Giga impact/shadow claw/crunch/zen headbutt/earthquake

Partners

Reshiram, with solarbeam, reflect, Fusion flare, and sunny day i finds works well with the above set, wiping out my friends who EV trained a whole team, these two took them out.

Weaknesses- steel types, full stop. Also shuckle, without earthquake. But that's what reshi's there for.

I haven't done one of these in forever, but I think it's about time I did.

Godzilla better run; Zekrom's in da HOUSE!

Physical sweeper all the way, that kills everything in its path. Outrage, one of the ultimate killing tools among Dragon-types. STAB, giving a 50% boost makes that 120 striking power a terrible 180. Add that to Zekrom's obscene Attack stat... yeah, don't expect to survive. At all. At least, not unless you have a resistence. And even then, you're getting hit HARD. Fusion Bolt is a 1-Pokemon electric version of Earthquake: 100 power, 100 accuracy, no drawbacks. Again, STAB makes it 150 added to monstrous physical attack power, which means survival is minimal unless you have resistence or immunity. STAB Bolt Strike has base 205 power: that means te power of Selfdestruct in each and every hit. Combined with a proper accuracy boost, this thing will KEEL anyone who's stupid enough to take it on. Stone Edge is Zekrom's best defense against Ice-types, which can take advantage of the hole in its armor: it's 100 Sp Def. The accuracy is risky, but with a boost in accuracy it can be deadly. And that's where Hone Claws comes into play. The increase in Attack and Accuracy not only makes Zekrom's obscene attack power stronger; it also makes Zekrom's attacks more likely to hit. That's truly frightening.

Life Orb allows Zekrom to hit harder at the expense of some of its HP with each hit, while Choice Band keeps it stuck on one move, but gives its Speed a much needed boost.

Status Zekrom? Perish the thought!

Item: Leftovers
Spread: 252 Def, 252 HP, 4 Sp Def/252 Def, 252 Sp Def, 4 HP
Nature: Impish (+Def, -Sp Atk)

A possible set left up to the user. With 404 HP maxed out, Substitute gives birth to respectable 101 HP shields. Protect makes it so the HP of these shields isn't whittled down too fast, and holds out for Toxic. Toxic breaks down Pokemon, pure and simple. Particularly other defensive Pokemon you may run into. Thunder Wave paralyzes enemies, lowering speed and possibly keeping them from attacking. This can keep Zekrom alive longer and allow Toxic to keep working. Rest is the only HP recovery move you've got, which allows more of those Substitutes to be built up. Fusion Bolt and Dragon Claw serve the same purpose: attack options so you aren't shut down with Taunt. Fusion Bolt is stronger, but Dragon Claw hits more types more evenly, with no immunities.

Leftovers allows you to survive by getting back some of your HP each turn. This can be really useful for and because of Substitute.

COUNTERS:
Ice-type special sweepers. These are Zekrom's answer to kryptonite. A speedy Ice Beam can cripple Zekrom, and Blizzard can outright kill it if the attack hits. Zekrom's also got nothing on Ferrothorn, with no attacks that aren't resisted by at least one part of Ferrothorn's typing. Finally, Dragon-types that outspeed Zekrom can be especially deadly. Particularly the speed special-sweepers. So if you see a special-sweeper Rayquaza and you aren't able to outspeed it, the best thing you can do is RUN. Other dragon-type Special Sweepers with more than 90 base speed might be able to do the job as well.
