Fossils

I'd bet they'll be two of them, and be half-Rock. :)

So far we have Water/Rock and Flying/Rock from first-gen, and Grass/Rock and Bug/Rock from third-gen.

As long as they're not Rock / (Water or Flying or Grass or Bug) types then I'll be fine with it.

But we don't HAVE to have Fossils in DP... You know, GSC didn't have 'em.

As long as we get dinosaurs for once, I don't care about the type. Though they'll probably be half Rock.

>.< But Pterodactyls aren't dinosaurs, are they? Well I mean something like a Rock/Fire T-rex that hasn't been done, ya know?

Mr.Datyl was one.

Assuming you mean Aerodactyl: Technically speaking, Pterodactyls weren't dinosaurs; they were "flying reptiles". :p

EDIT: Crap, beaten to it.

No, they are not reptiles because they were warm-blooded to my knowledge.

That is pretty much a dinosaur.

Saura is the latin term for lizard.

Tyranitar is the cloest thing to a dinosaur pokemon.. although I always thought Aggron was meant to resemble Triceratops.

I'd like a actual dinosaur pokemon. I know Meganium is supposedly a sauropod but still, I'd like to find a fossil in the underground world and have it be a Tyrannosaur-like pokemon.. Rock/dragon would be good I think.

Dinosaurs were terrestrial. Pterodactyls are referred to as a Pterosaurs, I think.

Sme easile recognized dinosaurs that haven't been done are stegosaurs, ankylosaurs, igaunodonts(especially hadrosaurs), pachycepholosaurs, and raptors, but a mammoth would be appreciated too... I would like them to pull out more stuff like Armaldo though, who was based on a giant prehistoric brine shrimp (anomalocaris).

One of the many things that annoyed me about GSC and it's Johto pokemon. >_> *not saying i hated it*

On topic, if it's from a fossil, it will be half Rock, that's the way it is and always will be. I'd like a Raptor and a Ceolphisis (sp?). That'd be pretty cool. Or an Ankylosaurus, oh the possibilities.

I'd like more ancient/prehistoric based pokemon this generation, fossil or not. :D

How about an Ice/Rock mammoth?
And an Electric/Rock saber-tooth tiger?
That would rock.
