dusclops is the best tank, gengar is the best sweeper. i prefer dusclops, personally, but it depends on which you want to use.

I always thought gengar was good, Good movepool. I liked it when i was raising him a few weeks back.

Gengar usually is prefered as he can sweep and has a very large movepool, but if you can't trade, don't like weaknesses to psychic, or need a tanking pokemon, go with Dusclops.

Or if you don't like those two, there's always Misdreavus or Banette or Sableye. :p
Hey, Banette has high attack, and Missy can levetate (But so can Gengar, and Gengar has much more potential than Missy). Sableye can... uh... well, it doesn't have any weaknesses! Oh, there's also Shedinja, too! He's immune to like twelve types, but if anything that can hit him hits him, he dies in one hit. o_O Not reccomended unless you're really good at prediction.

Ghost Pokémon are quite interesting, but Gengar is clearly the best out of them. YES IT IS MORE USEFUL AND BETTER THAN DUSCLOPS.

Shedinja is handy too, moreso than people seem to think.
It can stop many Pokémon cold, especially most legendaries' with their standard movesets (ex. Mewtwo, Latias, Latios, Kyogre) and remove all their wonderful Calm Minds and other stat-ups when they are forced to switch.
Just keep it away from a Tyranitar or Spikes using team, if you know your opponent has them.
Oh and give it Protect, in case you don't know whether your foe can hit you or not.

Sableye is probably the worst fully evolved ghost (Haunter is better than it), though I won't deny it's an interesting Pokémon.

Gengar's your best choice, it is one of the most versatile and unpredictable Pokémon ever, as well as one of the best (non-legendary) Pokémon available.
