I never actually got any advice on my team back when I first went through X, but now I'm going to be entering in a League soon so I figured I'd get some advice for my team. I have no expectations to do well, I'm just in it to have a bit of fun, so don't suggest swapping out team members. Also, I will not be rebreeding for egg moves or using hidden abilities. The main questions I have are for items.

Again, some advice would be greatly appreciated. Once again, I won't be changing the individual Pokemon, so no egg moves or new abilities.

Pretty solid team. Use Mega Zard instead of Mega Lucario because regular Lucario is actually good.

Hey, Gallade!

Greninja: You might want to use Surf instead of Hydro Pump because of the accuracy. I'm assuming you are able to get HP Fire for Greninja? In that case, I recommend HP Fire over Grass Knot. The only move Grass Knot covers that your Greninja's others moves don't cover is Water and that isn't really a threat to it. Meanwhile, HP Fire covers Bug, Ice & Grass.

Florges: Personally, I'd go with Energy Ball, but if you have a Persim Berry to counteract the confusion or are willing to just switch it out when it gets confused, you should go with Petal Dance.

Charizard: Definitely go with the Mega. As for moves, Flare Blitz, Dragon Claw, Earthquake & Swords Dance should do great. It's also the moveset on my own Charizard (which works better for me because my Greninja has Mat Block).

Heliolisk: You already have type coverage for moves Grass Knot covers, so I wouldn't go with that move. Thunderbolt already has a chance of paralysis, so Thunder Wave might seem like a waste of a moveslot. Volt Switch might be your best bet here. Personally, I'd go with Dark Pulse instead, or maybe stick with Volt Switch and replace Focus Blast with Dark Pulse.

Tyrantrum: Stone Edge might be a better idea to avoid the massive recoil.

Lucario: I wouldn't recommend Mega. What is your Lucario's Attack & Special Attack stat? If Special Attack is significantly higher, I recommend moves like Aura Sphere over Close Combat and Dragon Pulse/Flash Cannon over Stone Edge.

Since you ask for recommendations in terms of items, here are what I recommend:

Greninja: Life Orb
Florges: Leftovers
Charizard: Charizardite X
Heliolisk: Choice Specs
Tyrantrum: Choice Scarf/Band
Lucario: Expert Belt

Also, would recommend saying what nature and EVs that Lucario has so they can tell you better what to pick move wise.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'll look into the game and report back on some stat spreads in a bit.

EDIT: So I looked at my game to check up on my facts. First up, it turns out my Greninja doesn't get HP Fire, my memory was being weird :p Second, my Lucario has a Hasty nature and its Attack is only three points higher than Special Attack.

I think you should go with Extrasensory on Greninja.

For Lucario, maybe Flash Cannon because of Adaptability, otherwise probably Stone Edge. It covers Fire types, among other things 2 hilt Dragon Pulse only covers Dragon. Basically, I'd say go with either Flash Cannon or Stone Edge.

I'm not really sure what for Greninja. Grass Knot would hit other Waters, while Extrasensory would get Poisons and Fightings. Greninja isn't likely to stand a chance against any Fighting that gets thrown at it and Waters are more likely to wall it than Poisons, so I dunno. Probably Extrasensory just for its extra coverage.

Lucario won't have Adaptability since it isn't Mega. The only reason I considered Flash Cannon was because it'd be the only super-effective move I'd have against Fairies.

Yeah, Extrasensory might be your best bet. You can just use Dark Pulse on tough Water types and hope for the best. Also, Extrasensory helps against Water types such as Tentacruel.

Oh, in that case I think you should go with Stone Edge. I know Flash Cannon helps against Fairy types, but at least Lucario resists them and Stone Edge wouldn't be a terrible option against them. Plus, Stone Edge takes advantage of the Expert Belt better. All the moves Flash Cannon is super effective against, besides Fairy, is the same as Aura Sphere/Close Combat.

By the way I recommend a Chouce Scarf on Tyrantrum over Choice Band because it already has very high Attack, but is very slow.

Extrasensory on Greninja. It provides coverage to Fighting types, which Greninja is weak to.

Too bad you're not willing to rebreed, because honestly, Greninja's HA is really what makes it worthwhile, being able to switch around it's weaknesses and always hit STAB.

Yeah, I know, but I'm just doing this for a bit of fun, not really trying to build a competitive-level team. I did actually consider building a new team and using Blaziken and Gengar, among others, but eventually I just decided to stick with my in-game team and do what I could with them.

Well you could technically catch a HA Frogadier ingame =P
But yeah due to the lack of Protean, Extrasensory is good vs Fighting. I use Scald over Hydro Pump/Surf on mine as well due to 30% burn chance.
