OOC: I will post for Emily later, since her post is taking a while to think up.

A hail of laser fire ripped past me as the assembled soldiers opened fire. Heavy weapons fire exploded all around us, with mortars blowing chunks of earth thirty or forty feet straight up. A crack echoed across the field as someone wielding an Artillery Rifle, a strange hybrid of a sniper and a mortar, opened fire, the shot blasting half a dozen wretched to shrapnel. I could hear Knights ordering the rest of our force to stand back and let us fight. Just before the enemy reached us, I opened fire with my pistol, killing several of Wretched.
With a wordless roar, I hit the lines of the Abyss, sword flashing. I was hardly concerned with being wounded; my armor provided ample protection, so these standard soldiers where not much of a concern. Those things that could hurt me were on the fringes of the force, away from my path.
I absently parried a blow from a skeletal foe, before decapitating it with ease. I took a snap shot hitting another square in the back, his torso disintegrating as the laser bolt struck home. Diving into the enemy, I punch one, blasting his chest out, while slashing three more in half. I fired off four shots, killing four more.
Our soldiers where gathering at the gates, firing shots into the crowd of Abyssal soldiers who still managed to get past me, and the rest of Squads One and Two. As hundred of these infernal things poured past me, heading for the gates, Knights ordered that all focus be placed on them. I could not follow what was happening however, I had foes to kill.
Spinning full circle with my blade extended to clear some space to move, I found myself facing a zombie like Haxorus. The creature wielded a battleaxe and with a scream lunged towards me. I dodge to the right, and shot the thing in the head. With wide sweeping strokes, I pushed forwards, occasionally shooting an opponent. In this manner, I ended up stepping clean out of the enemy lines. Finding myself standing behind the enemy’s main force, I took a brief second to take in the situation.
The Circle of Seven was locked in a desperate battle near the massive siege engine, which was turned nose up in the ground. Behind me, the Wretched had managed to hit our lines, but so far they seemed to be holding. However, what really caught my attention was standing back from the slaughter.
Standing back away from the assault force, and simply watching the gruesome and desperate battle near the siege engine. A feral smile crept onto my face. Slaughtering cannon fodder had done little to sate my lust for battle, but I had a feeling that this monster would be an excellent fight. Somewhere it eh back of my head, I knew I should wade back threw the carnage and assist my soldiers, but my natural instincts were calling out for a battle, and that battle would not be had behind me.
Boldly, I advanced on the Nidoking, who was simply standing back, watching the show as it where. I settled my energy blade into a comfortable grip, tightened my hold on my pistol, before doing something stupid.
With a wordless howl of rage, I charged right at the monster, sword held behind me. I at least had the forethought to fire half a dozen shots from my laser pistol, however only two were even close to one target, the others flying wildly past my newfound opponent.
